so excited for this new @sungodpa record to be out! a couple tracks recorded here, a couple tracks recorded at the metal shop with @ianfarmerdoe but mostly tracked by the band themselves! it was so awesome to come in for the mix process and hear what they had been working on, not only is the songwriting exceptional as always but hearing their approach to production and engineering was so cool. this record also has probably my favorite song they ever wrote on it. they’re playing a record release show tonight at creep records in port richmond, you should attend!

big big congrats to @goldenapplesusa on the release of their new record “bananasugarfire”! i’ve been working with russell & co. on music for a very long time and everytime it just gets better and better. i think this latest iteration of the band is my favorite yet and this record is a perfect example of that. super stoked to have been called in for the mix on this one, give it a listen this weekend and go see em on tour next month! (stacked philly release show at the khyber nov 17th don’t be late) 🌭🌭🌭

big congrats to everyone in @slaughterbeachdog on the release of “crying, laughing, waving, smiling”!! to say i was honored that they entrusted me with the mix on this record would be an understatement, it really is a special collection of songs and i feel very lucky to have been so intimately involved. everyone in this band is not only a great musician but also a great person and watching them work and their band dynamic during those tracking days at the metal shop was truly something to behold, watching creativity and kindness unfold in real time. jake took the keys to the bunk for a few days last winter to finish up some vocals while i sequestered myself inside the house during a bout of covid but while i was coming down off my fever high it was nice to know that the energy and aura of these songs was filling the bunk. happy release day to all involved and i can’t wait to hear these songs live this fall!!!

got my copy of the new @gaadge_pgh record in the mail today! i had a great time making this with them last fall and stoked to have a vinyl for the bunk. a lot of live tracking, instrument swapping, all the good sh*t, this record is awesome. you can grab one from @craftedsounds but i hear they are movin’ quick 🫡

the amazing new ep from @miriamdevora is officially out today! to say getting to work on this ep with miri was a dream is an absolute understatement, truly honored to have played a part in making this ep happen. it was so great getting to collaborate on these songs (i may have hit a couple keys here or there) but the real highlight is miri’s voice, straight up one of the best vocalists i’ve ever recorded and her ear for harmony and vocal arrangement is outta this world. for real, it’ll knock your gd socks off when you hear it, i had no socks left by the time we had finished recording. go pick it up from bandcamp!

i’m about a week late on this one but now that i’m finally out of my covid daze i gotta take the last little bit of 2022 to post about the new @xpinkylemonx record that we recorded over the summer! had a really great time making this one, it was fun building these songs from the ground up and working out the layers of electronic and live band stuff together, always a favorite of mine. they were a super nice crew and even named a song after benny (which tbh everyone should, the true star of the bunk) pick it up on bandcamp and keep an eye out for them in 2023!✌️

@lowercaseroses brilliant new album ‘ordinary terror’ is out in the world today! i recorded the vocals and helped bring the mixes to the finish line but honestly it was matt who did the lions share of the work on this one. i’ve been recording with matt for years and 1. am always blown away with his talents as a songwriter/musician and 2. it was super cool to see him dive into the recording/production side of things more and be constantly blown away when he’d show me what he had been working on whenever he came up to work on vocals. a truly special record through & through, give it a listen today!!! plus s/o to the excellent mastering job done by heather jones! @ther_ther_ther
