It’s with a heavy heart that yesterday was the final dance performances of The Scottish School of Contemporary Dance.
I couldn’t be there in person but wanted to mark the occasion.
I remember so clearly when Kim, our wonderful ballet teacher, asked us to write a vision for ourselves, what we wanted for our future in 1 year, 3 years, and 7 years’ time. Well, it’s been 15 years now, and I feel like those dreams, even through a different path than I first imagined, are still being lived so fruitfully.
The Space, where I walked past this sign each morning for four years of my life. I feel so lucky to have been there. It was a space where so many amazing experiences were had, challenges, joys, laughter, tears, sweat, blood, bruises, moments of growing up and learning to be an artist happened.
A space where all of our teachers gave so much of their hearts and knowledge, empowering us through rigorous and incredible training, and showing us what we were capable of achieving. A space that exuded the power of dance and performance.
All the work we created and performed on that beautiful stage, the huge array of classes from lecturers, guest artists, and teachers, and how much we all gave to it.
The best friends, who are still in my life, and those I’m still privileged enough to work with today.
I remember I couldn’t stop crying on the final night of our BA performances. How much I was moved by my time there. I was so ready to go out and be the artist I’d dreamed of becoming, but I was leaving my home.
It’s the end of an era, and incredibly sad that Scotland has lost its only place to train in contemporary dance. But this space and its impact will live on through all the generations of students who passed through its inspiring doors and, for me, through the people I will continue to create work with and teach, hopefully for the next 15 years and beyond!
Viva The Scottish School of Contemporary Dance! Dance in Scotland will forever be grateful for, and inspired by, this beautiful space.
To all my teachers, please know the profound impact you had on me and the fabric of dance in Scotland 💛

Off-Season
My heart is full to the brim after spending the first few months of 2026 creating with @scottishdancetheatre
It has been so joyfully challenging, a process that has taken me to new depths of my practice. To challenge ways of making work, ways of performing work, how to hold spaces for artists to practise spontaneity, vulnerability and new facets of performance.
Making work fully discovered through improvisation was gorgeous and frustrating, exciting and exposing. It has been one of the biggest journeys as a choreographer to figure out what this was going to be!
Off-Season feels bold, bizarre, and very human at its core. And I love it dearly 💛
It has met its first audiences exactly as I would have wished and more! With laughter, lightheartedness and curiosity.
Molly, Ben, Karla, Maya, Pauline, Massimo, Mitch, Paulina and Kassi - thank you for your deep investment, playfulness and for taking this wild and wonderful trip with me!
I’ve never laughed so much every day in the studio with these wonderful people and been continually surprised by what they brought to the room.
To Cleo - for the beautiful design and making of these glorious costumes. I’m so proud of you.
To Michaella - for the wonderful lighting! Pink! Yes please. Haha you know me well. You always make everything shine!
To Tom, who was there as a huge support through it all! And for a short stint - Stefi!
To Joan and everyone at SDT, thank you for your support, care and belief.
Off-Season is out on tour as part of Scottish Roots triple bill 👇
Go check it out if you can!
18th March – Johnstone Town Hall, Paisley
20th March – Ardrishaig Public Hall, Argyll
25th March – Dunvegan Community Hall, Skye

🇵🇸Yoga 4 Palestine - February 1st 🇵🇸
✨Vinyasa Flow✨
⏰3-4pm
📍@lilayogaedinburgh
I’ll be leading this practice as part of the full programme of diverse classes on offer from 9am - 9pm
Come join! 🧘🏼♀️
A booking link to all the classes at Lila can be found via the link in my bio.
Your donations will go to raise funds in support of Plant a Tree in Palestine and partners in the Al Masara farming community, south of Bethlehem in the West Bank. This project is part of the @scottish_psc Stop the JNF campaign
The event aims to raise funds to help the Al Masara community secure a vital piece of land situated strategically between the farming community and an encroaching illegal settlement on the opposite side of the valley. Gaining ownership of this land would represent a small but significant victory, helping to protect local livelihoods, strengthen food sovereignty, and preserve the connection between people and their land.

Tess Letham captures something in what ever happened to Harmony Banks which feels almost eerily of the moment.
★★★★ ALL EDINBURGH THEATRE
A pitch-perfect portrait of the toxicity of celebrity culture... pulsing out a spectacularly angular stadium-worthy routine to a power pop soundtrack and high-energy lighting.
