Teo Yang Studio가 공간 기획을 맡은 이번 전시는,
Joan Miró의 조각을 한국 전통 미학의 맥락 속에서 새롭게 감상하는 시간을 제안합니다.

미로의 작업을 단지 ‘유럽 현대미술’로 바라보는 시선을 넘어,
그의 조형 언어가 한국인의 감성과 문화적 무의식과 어떻게 맞닿는지를 탐구하며 서로 다른 지리와 문화 속에서도, 감각과 정서의 층위에서 만나는 연결점을 공간으로 풀어내고자 했습니다.

미로의 조각을 눈에 보이는 형태가 아니라,
감정과 꿈의 잔상이 물질로 응축된 존재로 이해하고,
이를 한국 미학의 본질인 ‘여백’과 ‘무형의 조형성’ 속에 배치하여
두 세계의 감각이 자연스럽게 교차하는 장면을 만들고자 했습니다.

한옥의 창호 사이로 스며드는 빛과 함께 드러나는 조각들,
그리고 한지로 마감된 포디엄 위에 놓인 청동 작품들이 만들어내는 미묘한 울림을 경험해보시길 바랍니다.

As a designer and as a brand, I wanted to say hello to Hong Kong in a way that felt sincere. For me, that meant sharing my love for Cantonese pop and the nostalgia of Hong Kong’s golden era. I grew up learning so much from its cinema and music how to express myself and how to carry a certain attitude. Those influences shaped who I am as a designer today. I truly hope the people of Hong Kong enjoyed the space celebrating old Hong Kong as much as I cherished creating.
