#Apple has announced the release of the #iPhone17 this September 2025. It’s time again to consider a serious boycott.
These devices are made using #coltan, a mineral mined under inhumane and illegal conditions in the Democratic Republic of Congo 🇨🇩
This exploitation has fueled a g3nocide in the eastern part of the country for nearly 30 years, resulting to date in the deaths of over 15 million people.
We must ask ourselves if it’s truly necessary to launch a new phone every year, especially when it comes at the cost of human lives

🇨🇩 Lumumba’s Centenary
📅 July 2, 1925 — July 2, 2025
This year marks 100 years since the birth of Patrice Emery Lumumba, the first Prime Minister of the « independent » Congo and a global symbol of African liberation.
As we commemorate his centenary, we honor his legacy, his sacrifice, and his enduring vision of a free, united, and dignified Congo.
Let us remember - and let us continue the fight.
Free Congo.

50,000 Congolese children are being reduced to slavery in mines across Congo to extract strategic minerals that power our smartphones, computers, and modern technologies.
These children are forced to work with their bare hands in inhumane conditions. They are also compelled to enter extremely narrow mining tunnels where only their small bodies can fit, turning their bodies into tools leading them toward death.
In March 2026, 70 Congolese children were buried alive in a mine in Rubaya.
Enough.

In June 2024, as part of the Hope project, I had the opportunity to document the situation in the #Kanyaruchinya refugee camp in eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo.
At that time, access to drinking water was limited, with inadequate distribution conditions and long queues. Households faced significant daily pressure to meet this essential need.
This situation particularly affected women and children, who were heavily involved in water collection.
Today, as many of these people have returned to their villages of origin, the responses from authorities and other stakeholders could prove crucial in sustainably improving access to water and preventing the recurrence of such situations.

The attacks against @misanharriman are deeply upsetting, though sadly not unexpected.
It’s difficult to understand how someone whose work and character are grounded in empathy, humanity, and compassion can be so unfairly targeted simply for speaking up against injustice and standing for human dignity.
Everything Misan represents is centred around compassion, unity, and care for others. He uses his platform to uplift people, encourage understanding, and remind us all that humanity should come before division.
In a world that can often feel heavy with negativity, Misan continues to lead with grace, empathy, and hope. Those qualities should be celebrated, not condemned.
It’s heartbreaking to witness so much hostility directed toward someone who continually chooses kindness, peace, and understanding.
Imagine how different the world could be if more people chose empathy over cruelty, compassion over division, and love over hate.
We will always stand beside you, Misan ♥️
📹 by @rollaselbak - thank you ♥️

Now more than ever they are silencing our voices because we are winning.
Much like they tried to bury Palestinians, they only planted more seeds. We all became Palestinian.
We will not be silent. We will not stand down. We will not be fear-mongered. We will not toe the line.
We will not stop until Palestine is FREE.
WE STAND WITH OUR COMRADE VANESA. ✊🏽♥️

A heartfelt thank you to @creatives4humanity for organizing such a powerful day and evening of solidarity on April 26th, 2026, in support of Palestine, Sudan, and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Through talks by activists and artists, live music, text readings, photography exhibitions, fashion, design, food and community, this event beautifully highlighted the deep and tragic connections between the Palestinian cause and the histories of oppressed and colonized peoples across North Africa, Sub-Saharan Africa, and Southwest Asia.
We are deeply grateful that the funds raised during this meaningful gathering were donated to @dignite_international, @terra.solidaire, and @teamcongo.rdc.
Thank you infinitely for thinking of Team Congo and for your incredibly generous donation. Your solidarity, humanity, and commitment to justice truly mean the world to us.
Free Congo. Free Palestine. Free Sudan. Free all oppressed people around the world

Right now in DRC, millions of people have been displaced by ongoing violence.
Although a peace agreement officially ended the Second Congo War in 2003, the violence never truly stopped in eastern DRCongo.
Armed groups continue fighting over land and mineral rich regions, while women and girls continue to face unimaginable violence.
A sister @elisteiixeiira has created a beautiful initiative to raise money for survivors through @panzifoundation, a hospital and foundation providing critical care, healing, shelter, and support for survivors of sexual violence in Congo.
Donations are made through her PayPal, and anyone who enters will also be added into a r@ffle to win the handmade earrings shown in the slides.
100% of profits will be donated.
