Releasing an album can sometimes feel like screaming into a void - these days, more than ever. I am incredibly grateful to @therodeomag for existing and covering records that otherwise might not get a lot of attention in the ever shrinking vacuum of music press. It means even more to get coverage for our little self-released album almost half a year after it came out, confirming to me that heartfelt, authentic music still holds an important place in this world and that slowly, but surely it can still continue to grow, reach new ears and have a meaningful impact on people.

I’m very excited to announce that @hannahtelle’s new album “Recurring Dreams” is out as of today. We worked on this material over the course of 3 years together at @taurusrisingrecords (most of it before we had even named the studio). Hannah was one of the first artists who trusted me with her songs and came out to the desert and let me produce a record for her. I played all the instruments, and was struck by the free flowing freak folk styles of the demos she had brought me, and set out trying to make a vaguely British folk inspired sound for her - with a decent amount of Surfs Up Beach Boys and 70’s Stevie Wonder thrown in there (and everything else that was on constant repeat on my stereo at that time…and still is, if we’re being honest). Thanks to @pearlcharles for lending her beautiful voice for some BG’s, @macsrecordlabel for letting me use his sweet gear for a quick pre master on some of the songs, thanks to @stephen_kerrison for lending his ears to some wonderful mastering jobs, and thanks to Hannah for trusting me with her music.

Another new tune has dropped from @jamesemmanuelofficial and the EP we recorded together at @taurusrisingrecords has been announced - coming on @deccarecords. The latest song released is “Healing” - engineered, produced & mixed by me and I also contributed guitar and BV’s. Bass was done by @dustinbookatz, drums & percussion by @gray_wave, piano and synth by @doug_organ, backing vocals by @_dzhari_ & @laurakgruska, gang BV’s by @stevemilb, @hamishfingland & @abetreblebass. We’ve already dropped “Brothers & Sisters” and “Nothing But Love”, so feel free to go give those a listen as well if you haven’t already (or even if you have!).
