A relatable story about going on trips with friends, remembering the moments which have shaped us into who we are now, and crafting new memories along the way.
Thank you to everyone at Scott Sports for the continued support on these endeavors. I know we aren’t always the best at explaining what we’re going to do, and make some stuff that may make people question what we’re doing. However, I hope you all enjoyed this one for more than a bike edit.
Thanks to @wiley.ks for being a great friend for so many years and being down to road trip to a few bike parks last fall!
Thanks to @drewboxold for filming and editing!
What was originally going to be 5ish minutes long spiraled into a full on short film lol

Some weekends are about riding bikes, connecting with friends, and stepping away from the routine.
Things don’t always go as planned, but when the trails are fast and the stoke is high, those challenging adventures are the ones you remember for the rest of your life.
Check out “Still the Same” — a mountain bike story from @tannerstephens and @drewboxold featuring @wiley.ks.
Full film — 🔗 in bio or on SCOTT channels.
🎥 @drewboxold — thanks for always capturing the energy and making it beautiful.
🚴♂️ @tannerstephens — thanks for bringing ideas to life.
🚴 @wiley.ks — making bikes look effortless (and saving the day with specialty car-mechanic skills).

Had the privilege of shooting the launch for the new Ibis Bikes Ripley SL earlier this year. Over the course of a week we covered some serious ground from the rugged peaks of the eastern sierra, to the desert scape of Mojave, and all the way to the coastal range of the Santa Cruz mountains where this bike was born.
Big thanks to everyone involved with this one!

I wanted to capture something quite different from what most people do for Deep Summer and hadn’t seen any follow cam style photos in a long time. My original idea was to follow @shreddie_reynolds and be side by side with @alexander_blanar as we hit the last jump on crabapple (I think it’s around 50-60ft). Then I was gonna do a one hander and turn towards Alex as he whips next to me while Eddie is in front of us whipping as well. I wanted the viewer to feel like they were there, but also be left with a bit of a cliff hanger not knowing if we all survived or not. I wanted pure chaos.
Getting the shot was a bit hectic with my camera ghetto rigged to my chest (see last slide), a wire running down my arm to the remote zip tied and taped to my bars. I wasn’t able to fully grip my bars on my right hand due to the remote being so far in, and couldn’t use the rear brake either. So things were a bit sketch to say the least. Luckily Eddie and Alex were insanely dialed and we were all confident enough to ride as close as possible to each other and we came away with some pretty unique shots.
In the end, we were running low on time and our remote trigger setup was being a bit finicky so we didn’t end up getting the exact shot I wanted. However, I’m still beyond happy with how these turned out and the emotions they convey.
No, these were not shot on a GoPro lol
Thanks to @peterwojnar and @joelducrot for the help rigging this contraption haha

Sometimes you gotta hard flash the high country…
DEEP SUMMER 2025
Thank you to all the riders and everyone involved with this project. It was really cool to tell the story of the bike community at @crankworx from my point of view. The motif of my entire project was “once removed”; in the sense that as long as you’re in the bike community, you’re one person removed from anyone else in this space. I tried to draw a common thread throughout my slideshow with chance encounters and getting groups together who all know each other or at least have one friend there, and I think we were able to accomplish that.
Huge thank you to @joelducrot for assisting and helping me throughout the entire weekend. Literally couldn’t have pulled it off with you. Also thank you to @peterwojnar for being the angel in lot 4 and showing up out of nowhere then stepping in to assist and helping us get extra weird with some shots.
Big thanks to @thebandfudge for the music as well!

Did a fair share of this while shooting for Canyon Ridge. Lots of climbing and hiking, followed by laying in fields of grass and eating.
It’s been cool to see the positive response from a project that was so personal to us, but more so not the typical bike film. Thank you to everyone who’s watched, liked, and commented so far!

a resistance to the natural beauty of our lands,
molded by the pressures of society
a river running removes sand due to destination,
we move due to weak foundation.
a departure from admiration.
