In SW428 we visit Shark Country.

In the past decade, right around Australia, there’s been a change in the water. In some places, the change is stark. These are places where surfers have had to come to terms with sharks in their daily lives.

Towns like Elliston, Esperance, Forster, Port Macquarie, Ballina and now even Sydney’s Northern Beaches. Towns where surfers have lost their lives... and towns where surfers continue to paddle out regardless.

In SW428 Surfing World we devote the whole mag to visiting these towns and speaking to local surfers. While shark attacks get plenty of tabloid news coverage, this is the story of what happens in between.
