We decided to open today… even though we’re not quite finished yet.

And honestly, it turned out to be the best decision we could’ve made.

The place was buzzing from the start. So many familiar faces and plenty of new ones too, all dropping in and showing real love for the new Surfed Out Way Station. The energy carried right through the day.

The Worxs coffee shop were flat out serving speciality coffees, cakes and savouries ☕
Darren the Barber had one of his busiest days yet ✂️
Mike Stock Tattoos, even away at his son’s rugby tournament, was still taking bookings.

Outside, it was just as alive. Kids surf skating across the tarmac, benches full, people soaking up the sunshine, and even a queue over at Ashford Farm Shop. It had that proper community feel we’ve been aiming for.

Here’s a little snippet of today to give you a flavour… and we’re only just getting started.
