What does it mean to be a Successful Mums' Learner?

As many of you already know, a while ago, I started my second course with @successfulmums_ and it was just amazing!

Lots of you asked what is the course about and what is Successful Mums so I decided to create this short reel to show a bit from my day when I was at the course.

If you know me, you will definitely see an improvement. I am more confident about going back to work, I am seriously considering a career in Education, I applied for jobs in schools, I had Work Experience Days at Harris Academy Beckenham and St Mary's Catholic School and I even had an Interview for Support Learning Assistant. All of these happened in less than 6 weeks!

I know! It sounds unbelievable, but with the right guidance and support it is possible!

We are like a College for mums and offer Career Advice, Accredited Training and link this relatively untapped skilled audience with employers for free.

This is my son and my why 🥰

I’m a teacher and career advisor and I started my business when I became a mum and lost my mojo…yet could see a clear gap in the market to support women on the pathway back to work.

I had a goal to help 100 mums to find work.

This month is our 12th birthday 🎈

And we’ve supported 12,000 mums so far🎉

Yesterday I was invited to The House Of Lords with the Enterprise Vision Awards Team.

It was a privilege to hear such wonderful insight from Theo Paphitis, Coral Horn, Harriett Hastings, Baroness Valentine and many more.

Fantastic to catch up with friends such as Jane Knight & Alice Potter and meet some incredible new people like Kerry Moores, Lisa Eagling and Fiona Lambert.

Such a wonderful, wholesome day full of Connection, Community and Confidence.

This month, Successful Mums celebrates 12 years of helping mums rebuild confidence, return to work, start businesses and take exciting new steps forward 🎉

What started with one mum’s idea to support 100 mums has now grown into more than 12,000 new beginnings.

And it seems we’re not the only ones reflecting on that journey… at the National Business Women’s Awards, our founder Jane Knight FIEP was unexpectedly presented with the Lifetime Achievement Award, recognising her dedication to supporting and motivating women throughout her career.

The award celebrates women who have made a lasting impact by helping others progress and achieve their potential and Jane was recognised for supporting thousands of mums back into work, education and business.

For Jane, Successful Mums has always been about more than employment. It’s about confidence, social mobility, wellbeing and helping women realise what’s possible for themselves and their families.

And perhaps most importantly, it’s about showing mums that every big achievement starts with one small step.

This award may have Jane’s name on it but it also belongs to every mum who has rebuilt her confidence, changed direction, started again or believed in herself through Successful Mums 🙌

Congratulations Jane and thank you to every mum who has been part of the journey so far.

Busy day in Bromley today for Week 6 of our Supporting Autism in Education course.

Today we welcomed staff from The Oaks Specialist College in Tonbridge, who came along to talk about the wonderful work they do to support young people with learning difficulties.

We were also delighted to welcome Grace and Michael as Co-Trainers - Experts by Experience, who helped deliver part of the training and shared their own experiences, including strengths, challenges and media misconceptions.

Their contribution brought learning to life and really highlighted the importance of inclusive support within education settings.

The course content continues to be practical, relevant and informative - helping learners build the knowledge and confidence to support autistic students across a wide range of educational environments and job roles.

Another busy week ahead at Successful Mums 👏

Jane will be visiting BBC Radio London to talk about current topics with Eddie Nestor and later in the week heading to the EVAS Reception at the House of Lords with keynote speaker Theo Paphitis.

Rachel will be out visiting referral partners in Bexleyheath, while Natalie and Olivia attend a Parents Careers Event in Erith, connecting with local parents looking for flexible, part-time opportunities around family life.

We’re also hosting our How to Become a Coach webinar with Jane, perfect for anyone curious about coaching as a flexible and rewarding career path - still a few free places left if you’d like to book!
