“from the river to the sea” (2025)

Palestine will be free.

short synopsis i wrote for class: “from the river to the sea” is expressing how much has been stripped from Palestinian children as a result of the ongoing genocide, including their sense of self. i explore this through use of the Palestinian national flower and water acting as a mirror for the crouched children. i also wanted to represent the small amount of hope that they cling to in their everyday with the fiery aspects of the colour palette, which conversely also echo bloodshed and the flashes left behind from bombs.”
