“Φωνές ανθεκτικότητας από τη Γάζα”
Online ζωντανή σύνδεση και Συζήτηση

Στις 30 Μαΐου θα έχουμε την τιμή να μοιραστούμε ένα ζωντανό μοίρασμα και συζήτηση στρογγυλής τραπέζης με πολίτες και ανθρώπους κοινοτικής φροντίδας στη Γάζα στην Παλαιστίνη, οι οποίοι θα μοιραστούν τις εμπειρίες τους από τη συνεχιζόμενη γενοκτονία και την ολική καταστροφή, υπό τη βίαιη κατοχή και τις επιθέσεις εναντίον κάθε μορφής ζωής, που αποσκοπούν στο να σπάσουν τη βούληση για κοινοτική φροντίδα και την ανθρώπινη και αυτόχθονη αξιοπρέπεια.

Έτσι επιθυμούμε να εστιάσουμε σε μια άμεση επαφή του καθημερινού αγώνα για επιβίωση, των προκλήσεων που αντιμετωπίζουν ψυχικά και υλικά, καθώς και των αξιοθαύμαστων τρόπων με τους οποίους οι παλαιστινιακές κοινότητες στη Γάζα δημιουργούν, οργανώνουν, αντιστέκονται και φροντίζουν ο ένας τον άλλον κάτω από τις εξαιρετικές απειλές που αντιμετωπίζουν. Μια ομάδα αγροτών @arduna_team ,ένας γιατρός, ένας διοργανωτής από το @freekitchen_gaza και ένα άτομο που επέζησε αυτής της γενοκτονίας και θα βρίσκεται στον χώρο, θα μοιραστούν τις μαρτυρίες τους. Η συζήτηση θα περιλαμβάνει χρόνο για ερωτήσεις και συζήτηση, δημιουργώντας χώρο για ουσιαστική σύνδεση και κατανόηση, με την ελπίδα να δημιουργηθούν σταθερά δίκτυα βάσης για την υποστήριξη των συλλογικοτήτων, όπως δίκτυα εργαζομένων στον αγροτικό τομέα, βοτανολόγων και φαρμακοποιών, εργαζομένων στον τομέα της ψυχικής υγείας, εργαζομένων στον τομέα της υγείας, εκπαιδευτικών και οποιουδήποτε ανθρώπου θεωρεί τον εαυτό του μέρος μιας κοινότητας που απαιτεί δικαιοσύνη ενάντια στη γενοκτονία και την καταστροφή στην Παλαιστίνη ή στο δικό του μέρος του κόσμου.

Μετά τη συζήτηση, η βραδιά θα συνεχιστεί με ζωντανή παλαιστινιακή μουσική, εργαστήριο παραδοσιακού χορού ντάμπκε, ζωντανή ραπ μουσική από @juicycruisemusiccreations , εκθέσεις, παζάρι, παλαιστινιακά εδέσματα, ροφήματα. Η βραδιά θα κλείσει με μια σειρά από DJ μέχρι αργά το βράδυ.

Όλα τα έσοδα θα διατεθούν για την υποστήριξη του @freekitchen_gaza, μιας κοινοτικής, από τα κάτω, πρωτοβουλίας που παρέχει δωρεάν γεύματα και προϊόντα σε κοινότητες της Γάζας.

YIDDISH DEEP LISTENING: A night of Yiddish song, archival samples, and guided movement in Minneapolis

We’re excited to invite New York-based Kleztronica artist Chaia for an evening of somatic movement and Deep Listening, grounded in Yiddish samples and song, alongside Minneapolis artists Miri Villerius and Sarah Larsson.

The evening will kickoff with a guided movement session by local klezmer, journalist and Deep Listening practitioner Miri Villerius. Miri’s Deep Listening instructors come from the lineage of Pauline Oliveros, IONE, and Heloise Gold and have included Leila Ramagopal Pertl, Brian Pertl, and Stephanie Loveless.

Then, Chaia and Sarah Larsson will lead a listening session through time featuring archival samples of Yiddish folksongs and live vocals. The duo will create meditative arrangements of Yiddish folksong, blending old recordings of Yiddish singers, interviews, and environmental field recordings with their own renditions of the songs.

Framing the physical space will be an art installation by Kohenet Riv Shapiro exploring water as a site of global communication and solidarities. You’re invited to stop by their MFA thesis exhibition reception at MCAD before the show to see more of this work! 6pm — 2201 1st Ave S.
