Playback / A collaborative demo listening and feedback session for musicians.
Dialled In @dialledin_ was in Dhaka to host a day centred around collective listening and exchange, inviting local artists to share their music and demos and take part in collaborative discussion and receive feedback about their work.
The event was hosted at Studio 6/6 on 13 January, and the event was facilitated by Provhat (Dialled In) @provhatr , Enayet (Slink) @_enayet & মm. (karkhana collective) @m_read_mwo .
The aim of this event was to create a supportive space for artists to present works in progress in a focused supportive environment and connect with one another. An open call was shared where artists could apply with their work and interests. Selected artists, collaborators and enthusiasts joined the session to listen to works which are in progress and, together, we discussed their work and possible directions for their artistry. We were blown away by the range of sounds, styles and genres that artists brought to the session!
Dialled In is an UK-based organisation that operates at the intersection of music, culture, and the arts, celebrating South Asian creativity through festivals, residencies, workshops, and live performances.
