Spanning five years of joy,
memories from the gallery floor (and rising above it) 🌱🌚✨
As of this year, Structura Gallery will no longer exist in the form we knew it. I am deeply grateful to Maria Vassileva and her team for their trust and support, the meaningful exchanges we shared, and for being such a vital connection to my home—the gallery sometimes being my home. It is an honour to show at Structura, engage in ongoing conversations, and be part of its story ♡
I clearly remember the day I stepped into the gallery in 2019 to build up the Gaudenz Ruff’s Finale exhibition, of which I was part. It was also the beginning of my work back home after being away for five years. It was followed by my solo presentation with the gallery at Art Rotterdam and for the NN Art Award. Later, I had the double opening for How Soon is Now and Process Anatomy, curated by the brilliant @vvvladimirovv
Thank you @maria_vassileva @marinaxslavova @galyakrumova and @pasdezephyra, for those moments, they are precious to me 💌

Silent Speeches
21 November—28 December 2024, opening 21 November, Thursday, 6—9 pm
6.30 pm: Activation of the exhibition by performers led by Voin de Voin: Jana Pencheva, Elitsa Mateva, Viktor Stransky
Structura Gallery, opening hours: Tuesday-Saturday 6-10 pm

On the occasion of Silent Speeches exhibition by @boudrylorenz in Sofia at @structuragallery, I would like to introduce to you the gang of activators, that we will perform at the opening on 21/11/24.
I met the incredible duo Pauline and Renate in Sofia, where they had a few months residency at my art space @aetherartspace, about 3 years ago. Ever since our friendship has been growing, and I’m so happy to finally work together on this.
Pic 1- Renate Lorenz & Pauline Boudry
Pic 2- Viktor Stransky is a Bulgarian-American urban planner, language teacher, social entrepreneur and degenerate. He doesn’t know what he’s doing with his life, but he also doesn’t give up. He likes to stir the pot while having lots of fun along the way. Has intense anger, abandonment and mommy issues. Loves to dance and sing badly. Accepts nudes, money and any interesting propositions.
Pic 3- @zhanapencheva Zhana Pencheva is a freelance dancer from Bulgaria, currently living between Burgas, Sofia, and Stockholm. She holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree from the New Bulgarian University and is part of the master’s program “New Performative Practices” at Stockholm University of the Arts. Zhana has also participated in various alternative educational programs such as Nomad Dance Academy and DanceWeb.
She is curious to explore sensual, erotic, loving, and kinetic spaces that the body and dance inhabit, in strong interaction with music, sound, microphones and other bodies.
Pic 4 @elma_moves
Elitsa Mateva is a multifaceted artist from Bulgaria. She spreads her energy deeds internationally as an actor, dancer, dj, and performer. With a particular interest in the concept of paradoxes, Elitsa is keen on having fun shifting the parameters of perception.
Pic 5- Voin de Voin celebrates art as activism!
WÆ will be so happy to see you at the time!

Inconsistent Spaces
Lyubomir Krastev
curated by Maria Vassileva
22.10.2024 - 16.11.2024
Lyubomir Krastev has worked on this series of large-format drawings for almost four years. The length of the process is determined not only by the complexity and specificity of the technique but also by the search for an image that captures the essence of our problematic world with a minimum of expressive means.
Although inspired by specific landscapes, places, and situations, in the process of research and recreation on the paper, Krastev creates utopias whose connection to reality is almost lost. The clash between industries and urbanization on the one hand and the resistance of nature on the other, creates desert spaces in which only traces are left. Geographical, political, and cultural differences are unified and transformed into images with an abstract sound. Images-metaphors, images-predictions of possible future cataclysms, disturbing, depopulated landscapes, only hinting at past dynamics.
Krastev’s process usually begins with a photograph taken by the artist or found, reversed in black and white. He starts a kind of game by transforming individual areas from positive to negative, shifting them, and enlarging them. This enables him to move away from the concrete and enter the abstract fields of emotions. He transfers the intended image onto the paper with a highly complex, slow, and demanding immense concentration technique that uses charcoal and graphite powder. The included collage highlights the fluidity and instability of experience, often remaining on the spectrum of the superficial and transitory. In the project, individual realities, objects, and spaces from the natural, architectural, or urban environment bleed into one another, mutually altering each other. Lyubomir Krastev’s work relies on oppositions such as visible-invisible, conscious-unconscious, metaphysical-real.
“The desire to be close to nature is increasingly palpable. But only in the form of escape…”, says the author. The exhibition is dedicated to the impossibility of finding harmony between what we have created and the surrounding nature. Somewhere, the connection has broken, and restoring

The project is realized with the financial support of the National Culture Fund.

“The desire to be close to nature is increasingly palpable. But only in the form of escape...”, says the author. The exhibition is dedicated to the impossibility of finding harmony between what we have created and the surrounding nature. Somewhere, the connection has broken, and restoring it seems almost impossible.
The project is realized with the financial support of the National Culture Fund.
