Today we celebrate the life of Willard Bond. Whether you called him Dad, Pop-pop, Hop, Mr. Bond or Bondie, if you were lucky enough to have him come into your life you couldn’t help but recognize his presence, his hustle or that sense of humor. As much as it hurts me to see him pass the one thing he always told me is he was glad he had a good life and that he got to share doing what he loved with his family. I was fortunate enough to be apart of that family although he wouldn’t have treated me any different if I wasn’t. My hope is to someday be the same person he was to me, to someone else. And for that responsibility, I thank him.
