Lately things have felt like light speed. Everything happens so fast. Here’s my reminder to be present and savor each day. That often means drawing the curtain on things that don’t have their day, yet, which can be very tricky in practice. As of January @katemaria is the sole manager of our business, and it has been a real gift to have a madly wise and talented expert of a human leading us forward. Here’s to you, Kate!

Last year I coproduced a project with some really good pals and made some great music in a historic, family based studio hosting some of the best musicians I’ve ever heard. Hard to believe it’s been out for a year now. Experiences like this have shaped us and put wind in our sails. Memories made that will last my lifetime.I feel so grateful to get to partner with such wonderful people and proud of the music we made. Check it out if you’d like

The heart of our studio just got a major upgrade. It’s felt like a pipe dream to have a @burlaudio mothership to record on here but the day has finally arrived. My late mentor and close friend @mikecavell gifted me an empty B80 chassis a few years ago and it has sat in storage until I could afford to put cards in it. I sure miss him. Here’s to many more years making incredible sounding music. 🥂 🎵 circa 2016 @jtulius

Every year I make it to August, barely clinging to the fraying edges of myself. The months before it somehow containing too much and not enough. In complete honesty, the last few years I get to the end of August and start dreading the cost. The travel, the jet lag, the work that piles up in my absence. The cost clouds my vision of the future and desaturates my memories of the past.
But there is something about this trip, in the countryside of England, that wakes me back up. That allows me to look up in the wild sky and know that there is more to life.
I love these people, I love this time together. The cost is always well worth it.
