Guava oolong, you new go to Steep tea for this season.
Fresh pink guava, blended into a smooth puree for a soft, rounded sweetness, lush and fragrant without tipping too tropical. It’s paired with a lightly roasted Taiwanese oolong that brings warmth and structure, a gentle nuttiness that keeps the fruit grounded and lets the tea come through.
At the base, our house-made tea jello, set from the same oolong, adds that signature Steep texture. Cool, delicate, and bouncy, it slowly melts into the drink, deepening the tea notes with every sip.
It starts bright, almost juicy, then settles into something more layered and composed. Easy to drink, but with intention behind every element.
For the month of April, each Guava Oolong also gives back. With every purchase, our friends at Orcé @orcecosmetics will donate a portion of proceeds to Asian Americans Advancing Justice Southern California, supporting free legal services for low-income immigrant communities.
See you at Steep soon! #steepwithlove

What's the tea? 🍵To celebrate our partnership with Steep LA and Orce Cosmetics, AJSOCAL had a lovely gathering with our staff and board members to try the new Guava Oolong drink from Steep. Our staffers work incredibly hard, so we were thankful for the time to take a beat, sip some tea, and enter a prize draw. Best part? The guava oolong tea is not-too-sweet!🧋
We're so grateful for @steep_la and @orcecosmetics, two AAPI-owned small businesses that are dedicated to supporting the community.
If you'd like to support our staffers and our work, come by Steep LA before May is over and order the Guava Oolong tea where 20% of proceeds go to AJSOCAL!

Officially sold out, thank you everyone. We’re excited to pack the room and share this one with all of you.
See you Wednesday. 🍢🔥

I thought long and hard about what dessert could truly represent Taiwanese culture through fruit and tea. I couldn’t think of one specific dessert that everyone universally loves, but I did remember an experience that almost every kid who has attended a traditional Taiwanese wedding shares in common.
At wedding banquets, before anything was served, the beverages would already be sitting on the table: a carton of guava juice, orange juice (most likely Sunkist), and 開喜 Kaishii Oolong Tea. All the kids would ALWAYS mix the guava and orange juice in different ratios to suit their own tastes, while carefully trying to make sure one juice didn’t run out before the other. Oolong was there to cut through the richness of the wedding feast. But every now and then, kids would secretly add a splash of oolong tea into their juice when their parents weren’t looking — just for a little taste of adulthood.
Though the juices most likely consist of less than 10% of real juices, this is the adult version of all the traditional wedding beverages combined. Orange cake, Salted Oolong Mascarpone Cream (mimicking 烏龍奶蓋), Pink Guava Sauce that you can actually taste the Guava, and topped with Oolong Butter Cookie, it’s sweet, tangy, fruity, with a lingering hint of Oolong.
This Wedding Tea Cake 芭柳囍烏龍蛋糕 is meant to bring back memories of joyful wedding banquets, or maybe just the sugar rush of drinking endless cups of juice as a kid.
Didn’t realize Steep already had a seasonal Guava Oolong Tea special when I was developing this dessert, but it turned out to be the perfect pairing — Double the guava, double the oolong, double the fun.
Now serving all day at Steep, get your summer sweet treat now. 🩷💚🧡#steepwithlove

Part three of our AAPI Month “Steep & Friends” series.
One night of smoke, charcoal, tea, and yakitori with @yakitoriguy 🍢🍡
A 7-course yakitori omakase built around different cuts, textures, and styles of grilling, from crispy kawa to juicy tebazaki and classic negima. The course will be perfectly paired with a classic oolong shochu highball made with Nankai Shochu @nankaishochuofficial and Steep oolong tea.
Yakitori is simple in theory, but every skewer is about precision: heat, timing, smoke, fat, salt, tare. An intimate style of dining meant to be enjoyed slowly, piece by piece, with drinks and good company. What a great way to celebrate our AAPI culture.
Menu of the Night:
-Assorted Tsukemono
-Hatsu Hearts Balsamic Shoyu
-Negima Thigh and Tokyo Negi Tare
-Broccoli Chicken Fat
-Kawa Skin Shio
-Zucchini Tebamoto Garlic Crisp
-Tebasaki Yuzu Kosho
-Yakionigiri Ochazuke Smoked Breast with Steep Green Tea
-Matcha Chocolate Ganache Strawberry

Starting next week, Chicken Rice and Boon Boon Noodle will be leaving our menu along with some other dishes too. Two dishes that somehow became part of so many people’s weekly routines, comfort meals, late lunches, and “I’m bringing my friend to Steep for the first time” orders.
Yes, we know this is a bold move.
Yes, we know some of you are already screaming at this post.
But as Steep continues to grow, we want our food program to grow with intention too. We’re shifting toward a more regional approach starting next seasonal menu, with each new chapter focusing deeper on a specific place, culture, and flavor story.
Our next menu will center around Taiwan, the dishes, ingredients, textures, and flavors that shaped so much of how we eat and drink.
So this weekend will be your last call for Chicken Rice and Boon Boon Noodle before they officially retire from the menu. Come have them one more time with us. #steepwithlove
