It's surprisingly tricky, as Mayfair is historically made up of Georgian townhouses and private members’ clubs, not buildings designed with rooftop terraces.

For decades, drinking culture here centred around basement bars and members’ clubs, think Annabel’s and Harry’s Bar, with rooftop spaces only emerging more recently through luxury hotel redevelopments...

And now @stanleysmayfair had entered the group chat...🍸

So if you find yourself in Mayfair craving a little rooftop moment, head to Charles Street, just a stone’s throw from Berkeley Square, and make your way to @chesterfieldmayfair where you’ll find @stanleysmayfair

Fun Fact - one of my friends checked into @chesterfieldmayfair with her dog one Christmas period when she was carving some "me time", and we spent the day drinking Bloody Mary's and eating Ceasar Salad and Chips in bed 😂😂 (trés chic times IMO)!

@stanleysmayfair gave me all the rooftop feels,traditional luxe meets fun and chic!

The espresso martini hit all the right spots and we tucked into some seriously delicious chicken satay and prawns as the sun went down.

I loved that the roof and sides can be retracted or closed, making it a safe bet whatever the slightly bipolar UK weather decides to do 🌤️

I would totally recommend this chi chi spot for a glam catch up with friends
