ACID87:
American titans of noise and improvisational sounds. Rough Music for the cartoonish politically charged. Automatic ramblings of folklore and legend pierced with guttural screams for more power. In basic terms, storytelling mixed with harsh noise done in a performance art fashion.
FFO: Whitehouse, Throbbing Gristle, Joseph Beuys, Negativland

GRASPING AT REALITY:
An onmi shambolic musical noise from Teesside. A collection of words and music nestled within the world of the obtuse, hanging onto reality by the tips of its fingers.  from Teesside.
 Self-proclaimed "Pig", Chris and Producer Kev are railing against the machine. Fighting despair with humour and a public mental breakdown.
They are pissed off, but still laughing away at their final minutes like  overlords.
Evil Genius' or just lunatics? You be the jury.
Ffo: ghostigital, benefits but with Vic and Bob style madness. Stay with it and enjoy the ride.

Noise artist from the North Yorkshire Coast.
Manipulated field recordings by hand held digital technology. 
Live works explore the rushing sonics of anxiety electronics through to the efflorescent post-rave audio ecologies of recovery trax to find the bloom in the concrete. 
Collaborators include: Quiet Husband, Wren Adobe, IC41, Tomasz C as LOW FELL and Jonathan Breakfast.
Releases on Industrial Coast, Bad Revue and forthcoming material on Venalism.

A mysterious duo of noise and poetry. Unpredictability and profound statements. Speaking truth so raw you need to be ready. Accept and let yourself go.

The Battery Farm - A Gutter Punk four-piece from Manchester playing visceral, punishing rock music infused with pain and passion.

Wet Man is a songwriter and performer who takes influence from punk, garage rock, disco and 60s pop crooners but does this in an electronic format. He descends from his forefathers of Sheffield music, taking influence from groups such as Cabaret Voltaire and Artery.

Totally unusable night this like...

Hartlepool lads @lurcher.hpool come back to @cafe.etch to celebrate their recent EP release 'Bad Gag'. 

@shindig__band - Hailing from the North Yorkshire coast, SHINDIG bring high-octane instrumentals and piercing vocals. Carnage guaranteed.

@henry_ford_is_dead is a three piece indie rock / alternative rock band hailing from Teesside. With influences ranging from R.E.M., Radiohead and Sonic Youth and lots more. The band's aim is to write catchy melodic bright and at times dark music.

we have @loraandthestalkers with support from @bruisermusicuk and @the_magnetic_north_band

Rome-based alt-rock band Lora & The Stalkers blend noise-driven dissonance with a strong pop attitude and harmonically adventurous arrangements. Deeply influenced by the gritty, cinematic atmosphere of their home city, the band creates a sound where Italian melodic heritage meets modern avant-rock. After the second album No Desire Control—with the single Lonely Heart gaining national TV and radio airplay—the band followed up with Morning Hours. The new material, including the single Social Anxiety, has been featured by Bluesbunny for its "intriguing atmospheric depth" and by Girl Underground Music for its gritty, sharp delivery. Following a run of shows at Liverpool’s legendary Cavern Club, they are returning to the UK in May 2026 for a new tour.

We are super excited to have @dragged_up joining us with support from @machinemusicroz and @o_r_c_h_a_r_d_band

Dragged Up formed in Glasgow, in late 2018. They deftly assimilate garage-psych, art-punk, experimental rock,
and post-doom, with soundscape and spoken word elements.

‘Dragged Up’s style is eclectic and intense, distilling much of the history of alternative music into a single band, and doing so in a highly inventive manner.’ Kim Harten Lam, Bliss Aquamarine

‘Their arty slack-punk attack has roots in the anorak era, but displays a much scummier surface than any of those poppers ever managed. Loose loud psych guitar gets woven into vocals with a certain paisley heft, but it’s all presented without cliches. Very, very cool’ - Byron Coley, The Wire

They have received airplay on Stuart Maconie’s Freak Zone, Louder Than War radio, Radio Free Brooklyn, KEXP and WFMU and supported bands such as Acid Mothers Temple, Smote, The Vaselines, The Bevis Frond and Water Damage, as well as The Hard Quartet who they toured with for 10 dates in June 2025.

A new single is due for release in the summer, with a new album coming out later in the year.

really excited to announce this awesome night of electronic music and synth delights!

Coming from Manchester we have the amazing @trianglecuts - bringing their dark wave,
Post-punk, alternative electronica with haunting vocal loops for their first @cafe.etch debut

Supporting them, and making another Etch debut is @novyilef from Newcastle, Combining analogue synths, brutalist architecture, pounding drum machines and a working-class consciousness.

We also have Teessides dazzling pink suited 80s legend @stock.image.uk joining the bill. A little bird tells me he's beenworking on some more bangers (one out next week) so we can't wait to see what he's been up to.

And returning to Etch is @cherry_knowle bringing that dark wave industrial goodness once again. We've missed you and we can't wait to see the big changes being made to the Cherry Knowle line upv👀
