Built with custom robotics and designed as a flexible system, each configuration evolves with the space while retaining its distinctive presence.

In this iteration, PHOTON was installed in the main lot at @fluxfestival The arrangement and choreography were shaped by the site itself: a place that was once forest, now transformed into an open lot. Drawing from that layered history, the work reflects the landscape back onto itself, collapsing past and present into a single luminous moment.

We are excited to show our installation PHOTON as part of an incredible lineup @fluxfestival this Saturday, April 25, at BLUM Gallery LA.

Spectra Studio is a Los Angeles-based multidisciplinary collective that blends media art, computer science, and mechanical engineering to build multi-sensory experiences across installation, projection, sculpture, robotics, light, and sound.

Flux Festival: A snapshot of the global creative zeitgeist, across a full day of talks, sensory exhibits, and performances with artists and filmmakers experimenting at the very edge of what’s possible in moving image and sound.

What happens at the intersection of art, engineering, and the unknown? Spectra Studio has spent years finding out. The Los Angeles-based multidisciplinary collective blends media art, computer science, and mechanical engineering to build multi-sensory experiences across installation, projection, sculpture, robotics, light, and sound that ask how we relate to the physical, the digital, and everything in between.
