The people of Austin have voted Soundfounder on KUTX Radio Show of the Year! What a massive honor. I can honestly say I didn't expect this. This is the first time an electronic music show has won this award (which is crazy) Thank you, thank you, thank you for the ongoing support, it means the world to me🙏 I came into this thing with basically no professional radio experience, no college degree, no professional training. What I did have was a lot of random niche knowledge about beats and an incredible community of artists to work with. Thank you to @kutx for taking a risk on me. Thank you to the @xplodeddrawing community and all artists that contribute music to the show. Thank you to @resoundpresents and @juiceland for being long time sponsors of the show. In 2019 KUTX's first electronic music focused show started as a humble experiment in the 1am slot on Saturdays, but over time, was moved to prime time Wednesday nights at 8pm and expanded to 2 hours. It has been nominated for Best Radio Show in Austin 3 times and won 1 best of Austin award in the @austinchronicle. The show has hosted guest appearances from Flying Lotus, Kamasi Washington, Kid Koala, RJD2, The Avalanches, Daedelus, House Shoes, Washed Out, Amon Tobin, Machinedrum, John Frusciante and many more.

This show would not exist without the support of the Austin and Texas music community, so to celebrate, I'll be playing 2 FULL HOURS OF TEXAS BEATS AND ELECTRONIC MUSIC!
