This painting goes along with another landscape scene that I have been catching on the same morning close to my hometown. A cold February morning with some warm sunlight coming through the woods

This painting is dedicated to my lovely grandmother Maria who passed away a few weeks ago
It became a very personal piece to me since I had that idea of painting the view of her room in the same house where I was born and raised since a long time. The last paintings for the exhibition where painted just a few rooms next to hers where she was laying the last years due to her health state.
On the morning where I finished this painting my mom came in the room and asked me to come to grandma because one could feel she might die soon.
A few hours later she passed away in a very peaceful and natural way with her closed ones around her.
