With @techuntermagazine 10 just dropped, a little flashback to Issue 9 🔙
In 2024, to celebrate the launch of the Supernatural Runner, we partnered with The Woolmark Company to document the journey behind making the SuperNatural Runner, the first running shoe in the world made from 75% natural materials.
Engineered by @onward__ . Designed with @f_o_a_r_m_s . Made in Europe with responsible partners who believed in a tiny brand with a big mission.
A lot has changed since then. Shortly after this issue came out, I finally got some freedom to take @circle_sportswear somewhere more contemporary.
Rooted in something I’ve always believed: desirable design is the most powerful tool we have for making sustainability work.

This is a hard one to write. Six years. One wild ride. And now, a new chapter. 🌿
I co-founded @circle_sportswear believing running gear could be made differently : locally, responsibly, beautifully. And we actually did it.
Along the way I was creative director, art director, designer, producer, stylist, Instagram, coms etc... Every single day, all in.
A few things I’ll never get over:
→ The world’s first running shoe made of 75% natural materials in Europe 🌍
→ Signing Marie-José Pérec. Yes. Her.
→ Pitching on national TV in our socks because the shoe wasn’t ready yet 😅
→ Baguette relays across Europe because joy is part of the brief 🥖
A huge THANK YOU to all my team mates, and everyone I met and collaborated with on this incredible rollercoaster.
The brand is in good hands, and growing. I could feel that quiet signal : time to go build something new.
So here I am. Back to design consulting, colour & materials, creative strategy. Working with sport and fashion brands who care about doing things properly.
Sound like you? Let’s talk. ☕

Honoured to be featured in the latest issue of @spurmagazine Magazine, in futurist Geraldine Wharry’s column Pioneers Reflect: What Defined 2025 and Will Shape Tomorrow.
2025 tested the fashion and sports industries. For those of us committed to long-term impact, it was a year of friction, and necessary recalibration.
But progress rarely moves in straight lines. Last week, the UK announced a national plan to tackle forever chemicals : a reminder that systems can shift.
If you’re thinking about what comes next, I invite you to read the piece and explore @trendatelierbygeraldinewharry .

She talks about designing the SuperNatural Runner (the first running shoe in Europe made from 75% bio-based materials) crafted with TENCEL™ fibers and shares insights about her experience of working in the sport and apparel industry for over twenty years.
To find out more about the current status of sustainability in the performance wear industry, read the whole article through the link in our bio.

🥿 What does circularity look like in one of fashion’s most complex categories? This seminar explored what it takes to reimagine footwear through a sustainability angle.
During the Future Fabrics Expo 2025 Seminar Series, panellists shared how simplifying components, unlocking collaboration, and improving recycling infrastructure can move the industry forward. These insights were presented alongside the Footwear Hub, a dedicated space for mapping out next-gen design strategies and showcasing plastic-free and recyclable footwear innovations at FFE.

The last couple of weeks have been intense.
From Climate Week in London to Paris Men’s Fashion Week, with a surreal investor meeting in between (NDA-bound, of course)… It’s been a ride. Emotional, overwhelming, full.
At the Future Fabrics Expo, I spoke on a panel about the current state of footwear —> how toxic plastic is dominating the industry(and the shoes), and how we urgently need to act. Panels often feel overly polished, distant. I tried to do the opposite. I spoke from where I actually am: someone who deeply cares about ecology, but doesn’t have all the answers. Someone who believes that progress is collective, messy, and CREATIVE !!!!
Then came Paris Fashion Week —> where things get loud, hot, and competitive. Hype is currency. Who you know, who you work with, how much you post… it all seems to matter more than what you stand for. I didn’t want to go. But I went. We showed the SS26 Circle Sportswear collection to buyers. I tried to stay grounded. I showed up with heart.
We celebrated the amazing animations by Brinq Studio , and I got to discover amazing new designers. And even if circularity still wasn’t part of the official conversation (even in 35° heat) I was reminded why it matters to keep showing up, keep questioning, keep building something different.
Not perfect. But real. And moving forward.
PS : Big thanks to @laalaj.studio for all the incredible work accomplished

Proud of this collaboration with ALBA Optics, which started from the very first conversation with @piergiorgio_catalano and grew into something truly special thanks to @martinlesieur and the whole team.
We not only reimagined our iconic run cap with a new twist, but also had the chance to co-develop a pair of sunglasses that reflect both brands’ love for movement and thoughtful design.
The whole process was smooth, creative, and genuinely fun. Launching it with events in Paris and Milan at the same time was the perfect way to celebrate what we care about most: community, food, and playful energy.
Special thanks to the @albaoptics and the @circle_sportswear team for making this happen, and a special mention to Luca and Alice for their incredible support and energy throughout.
Looking forward to many more projects like this.

Special thanks to the @albaoptics and the @circle_sportswear team for making this happen, and a special mention to Luca and Alice for their incredible support and energy throughout.
Looking forward to many more projects like this.

Paris Fashion Week FW25—what a ride.
So much gratitude for the incredible moments, for the friends who’ve been by my side and the new ones who’ve made this journey even more special.
The sacrifices behind working in sustainable fashion are real, but they are worth every ounce of energy.
It’s the support from the people who believe in us that fuels the drive, keeps us grounded, and, most importantly, keeps us smiling.
Thank you for being part of this beautiful, chaotic, and meaningful experience that is @circle_sportswear . 💫
Ps : can’t believe we have a shop in Paris!

2024
What a year for @circle_sportswear !
-We opened not one, but two shops in Paris
-Appeared in French Dragon’s Den, again
-Launched the first running shoe in the world made of 75% natural materials
-Signed legend Marie-Jose Perec as ambassador
-Organised many photoshoots with lots of inspiring people
-launched collabs with BUFF and Claudie Pierlot
-Told our story to Techunter magazine
Most importantly, I met so many wonderful people, new friends and collaborators. And of course I am thankful for our incredible team !
Behind the scenes, things aren’t always rosy : many bumps in the roads, failures, errors, exhaustion, disagreements, self doubt and more.
That’s why I will be resting until 2025, getting read to fight for a more sustainable running industry.
Wishing you all a merry end of year, thank you for your support 💚

The perfect balance between fashion and function, the Supernatural Runner from @circlesportswear is redefining what a running shoe can be. Sleek enough to turn heads, powerful enough to crush PRs, and thoughtfully designed to be kind to the planet 🌍.
We had an absolute blast at the Baguette Relay Race 🥖🇫🇷—a classic relay with a fun French twist! Sprinting, laughing, and passing a baguette instead of a baton? That’s our kind of challenge!

Very excited about this collab ! CIRCLE x BUFF
I had always wanted to design a @buffofficial, and what treat to tell this story with @calumxbrookes shooting around my beloved neighbourhood of London Fields !
You’ll notice we are also launching our first windrunner, it took a few years to figure out how to make it in Europe with the least negative impact possible. The team led by @julienbiet did an amazing job !
We are opening our new shop/office in Paris next Wednesday Nov 6th, come celebrate with us !
And most importantly launching Circle in London with @runlimited.ldn Nov 13 ! DM me if you want you join !
Big thanks to my amazing team !
