We designed the new custom typeface for @servicenow in collaboration with @instrument. ServiceNow Sans is based on #protestGrotesk and expanded to 15 weights in Text, Display, and Monospaced styles. We’re so proud of the result and this great partnership — can’t wait to see it in action!

Protest Grotesk is a friendly yet straightforward low-contrast sans serif, available in a wide range of weights. First released in 2023, it’s now back — reworked, expanded, and grown into a complete family spanning 32 weights across two styles, including the new Protest Grotesk Mono.

The typeface draws inspiration from late 19th- and early 20th-century geometric sans serifs such as Kabel and Futura, while also leaning on more humanist classics like Akzidenz Grotesk. The result is a contemporary take that feels just as at home in bold display use as it does in longer text settings.
