Every meal at Kira’s grandparents house ended with the same saying “gochisosama,” a Japanese phrase meaning “thank you so much for this meal.” 🍣🍛

As a food brand, we knew wanted our snacks to not only be delicious, but evoke feelings too! Gratefulness and a connection to our culture were the two things that came to mind first and foremost. Follow along to learn more about the traditions and stories behind Gochiso!

Honestly, it’s not always easy to carve out time for our side hustle when we’re working 9-to-5s, but we’ve learned that when you communicate early and commit, it’s possible to show up for the things that matter outside of work too.

Today that looked like: working the first half of the day, then heading out to celebrate AAPI Heritage Month at a special event for @seattlechildrens , swinging by @cascadiapharmacy to connect with one of our local retailers - and sneaking in a round of mahjong. 🀄

@asianartmuseum has our snacks stocked in their gift shop. It was our first time visiting and they rotate their snacks based on the exhibit they have running for that month!

@doloresoutpost is a corner store right next to Mission Dolores Park with so many AAPI owned goodies. We also got the most delicious Pandan Mochi baked good!
