A journey back into the sixties with world renowned printmaker, sculptor, and satirist- William Kent.
Psychedelic chameleons, alluring insects and bold political prints take us back to a time when things were..... pretty much the same!
We ask you to “End Your Silence” “Abolish HUAC” and “Take It Easy but Take It” with the elusive Connecticut artist. The hand made prints were created by carving huge Italian slate blackboards, and reproducing on fabric and rice paper- without a printing press.
Kent’s monumental wooden sculptures are also on display with content that reflects everyday items such as a hammer, shoe, key, shoehorn, and a crushed beer can. The rich illustrious hand carvings complement prints in the in a series of shows now by appointment.
Kent, who many consider one of America’s greatest printmakers and sculptors, lived as a recluse. His work was included alongside such titans as Jasper Johns, Robert Motherwell, and Phillip Guston. He attended Yale University, was the first curator of the John Slade Ely House, and exhibited at some the finest museums and galleries including-
The Wadsworth Atheneum, Sundsvall Sweden, Colgate, Brooklyn Museum,
Whitney Museum of American Art,
New Britain Museum of American Art and more. His work is in the collections of Smithsonian, Brooklyn Museum, Princeton University,
New Britain Museum of American Art, Lyman Allen Art Museum, Yale University Art Gallery, Florence Griswold and many more.

KOBRA x Unangst

Andrew "Andy" Unangst is a renowned American fashion and commercial photographer, celebrated for his iconic portraits and cover images for major publications including Time, ARTnews, and features in LIFE magazine.
In 2025, Unangst has revived two of his most iconic images from his archives to collaborate with internationally acclaimed muralist Eduardo KOBRA on a series of nine striking large-scale indoor paintings. KOBRA has completed over 3,000 murals globally, including 20 in New York City and has been recognized by the Guinness Book of World Records for his artwork at the 2016 RIO Olympic Games. KOBRA's revered mural, Mt. Rushmore of Art (2018), located on 22nd Street and 10th Avenue in Chelsea, New York City, famously incorporates Unangst's celebrated 1985 photograph of Andy Warhol, Andy with Arms Folded.
Unangst's Warhol Studio Series (1985) is among the most replicated and reproduced images of the legendary pop artist.
The portraits are held in the permanent collections of The Andy Warhol Museum, a version at The Whitney Museum of American Art, and significant private collections including that of Larry Gagosian. One of the photographs also appears on the cover of the legendary book The Andy Warhol Diaries. His prolific body of work includes celebrated portraits of notable figures such as Ron Wood of The Rolling Stones, Howard Stern, Arthur Ashe, and Peter Beard-the latter for Warhol's Interview Magazine (1986), taken at Unangst's studio at 381
Park Avenue South.
Unangst has exhibited at leading galleries including Pace Gallery and Gagosian Gallery and has collaborated with photographic luminaries such as Richard Avedon and Peter Beard. He was named Photographer of the Year by AdWeek magazine and was included in the Whitney Museum's landmark Photographs of the Century exhibition.
