It’s time for Little Saigon to step into the spotlight ✨ Shot and set in the cultural enclave, the award-winning thriller @theaccidentalgetawaydriver is out now! 

Inspired by true events, the feature directorial debut from Sing J. Lee, co-written with Christopher Chen, stars Hiep Tran Nghia, Phi Vu, Dali Benssalah and Dustin Nguyen in a film that follows the abduction of an elderly Vietnamese taxi driver in Orange County by three prison escapees. As the film unfolds, viewers experience a unique Vietnamese American story that unravels power dynamics and tensions not often unraveled and told on the big screen. 

#TheAccidentalGetawayDriver originally premiered at the 2023 Sundance Film Festival, where Lee received the Directing Award in U.S. Dramatic for the film. Gold House is proud to have been an early champion since Sundance, and we can’t wait for audiences to enjoy Lee's introspective filmmaking style and the hard work of the entire team behind this film.
