Baking completed. Time to play and transfer the reels. I was quite nervous of the very real possibility of uncovering nothing but banter and fart noises ( or even worse, some other bands record). My happy face says it all. Holy Sheets! It sounds pretty ferocious and the tempos are definitely faster than the Scream Dracula versions. This was recorded a couple months before Scream Dracula Scream and we were well rehearsed and ready to go. Engineered by either Geoff Harrington or Mark Arnold (both worked these sessions). Let’s get a mix! Thanks again for all who connected me to these tapes.

Just put the lost RFTC masters in this contraption. This is a Honyta reptile egg incubator that’s been modified to bake recording tape (stabilize analog tape binders) and combat “sticky shed syndrome”. Look it up! I’m not being gross. Sticky shed syndrome is an actual thing! The tapes should hopefully be playable in a couple days.
