A few nights ago I checked my Instagram DMs and saw a message that genuinely surprised me in the very best way. One of my all-time favorite creators(@asteryx), someone I’ve looked up to for years and honestly consider an IG GOAT, was coming to Seattle and asked if I wanted to go shoot sunset together. Those are the kinds of messages you reread a few times just to make sure they’re real.
So we ended up at Kerry Park, one of the most iconic views in Seattle… the Space Needle glowing with Mount Rainier standing beside it. Terry was gathering footage for an upcoming project, and I had a feeling I knew the perfect spot. Somehow the stars in the universe lined everything up because it turned into one of the best sunsets we’ve had in months, a real burner. The light was unreal, the city looked golden & magical, and it was one of those evenings that reminds me why I fell in love with photography in the first place.
Meeting his talented partner Sonia @shutter_doll was awesome too. Both of them were incredibly chill, creative, and easy to be around. My 2026 New Year’s resolution was to grow my photography community and so far I’ve started a photography club in West Seattle and have put myself out there to film and take pics with my favorite photographer/creator on IG. Moments like this make the world feel a little smaller in the best way. Hopefully someday soon I’ll make it down to LA and see them in their hometown too. ✨

POV: trading LA traffic for the Pacific on @virginvoyages Brilliant Lady. Camera bag packed, Sonia’s swimsuits in, four days to Cabo and Mazatlán ahead. From the terminal to the gangway to that first step on board, this ship makes the pre-trip part feel like the trip already started. 🚢🙋🏻♂️👧🏻
Check out part 1: what a full sea day actually looks like. I posted it last week.

Santorini. First visit, hundred degrees, ninety percent humidity, five hours off the cruise ship to capture this place before we had to turn around and head back. We ran it like a mission and loved every minute.
These were our first frames in Oia. Two return trips since and it still hits the same. Made sense to lead with where it started.
The story here is wild. Oia sits on the rim of a flooded caldera, what’s left of one of the largest volcanic eruptions in human history around 1600 BCE. The whole crescent shape of the island is the blast radius. Locals rebuilt over and over through earthquakes and eruptions, carving homes into the cliffs and painting everything white to bounce the heat. The blue domes weren’t always blue. That came later, somewhere between tradition and tourism, and now it’s the signature of the Cyclades.
You walk through Oia and you’re walking on top of a volcano that shaped the Mediterranean. Sweating through your shirt the whole time but worth it.
Sonia in white running the frames with me. Always.

@katodool There is a place on a hillside above the Nile where every wall tells a story. Every arch, every color, every hand painted symbol was put there by someone who has lived in this village their whole life. Kato Dool is not a hotel someone built to look Nubian. It is Nubian. The people who welcome you here built it with their hands, cook your food from their land, and treat strangers like they have been waiting for them. We left a piece of ourselves here. Which is why we are already going back.
@katodool #KatoDool #NubianVillage #Aswan #VisitEgypt #GharbSoheil

Kato Dool means The Big Home in Nubian and that is exactly what it felt like. Hand built into the hillside of Gharb Soheil, every wall painted in colors borrowed from the desert and the Nile below. We were welcomed not as guests but as family. Tea poured before we asked. Stories shared on the terrace as the sun dropped behind the palms. The Nubian people who run this place carry a kind of warmth I have not felt anywhere else in my travels. They build with their hands, cook from their own farm, and treat strangers like they have known them for years. Our friends here even gave us Nubian names, Unati and Asher, a gift we will carry with us for the rest of our lives. We loved our stay so much we will never forget it. Aswan stays with you. Kato Dool is the reason why.

Community in LA hits different. When you’re out here grinding as a photographer, it’s easy to get lost in the algorithm, the gear, the endless scroll. But every so often you look up and realize the real ones are the people standing next to you, cameras in hand, chasing the same light.
Yesterday was one of those days.
Huge thank you to everyone who pulled up to the first ever @insta360 Photo Walk in America out in Venice Beach. Co-hosting this one alongside @nyctme was something special, watching strangers become friends over shared frames and swapped stories. That’s what this is all about. Not the follower counts, not the brand deals, just creators showing up for each other and making something out of nothing but a boardwalk, some golden hour, and good energy.
To everyone who came out, shared a laugh, traded tips, or let me peek at your shots, thank you. You made this more than just a meetup. Cheers to many more. 📸🚶🏻♂️
Hosting the Instameet was a little tough for taking content and pictures so this is the best I could do and still talk to everybody in our short photo walk. Until the next one. 🙏

One tap. Whole world. 🌎🕊️📸
Took the @djiglobal Osmo 360 into the California super bloom to play with perspective. Tiny world and inverted world views turn a field of wildflowers into something that doesn’t quite look real. One tap and the whole landscape folds in on itself.
Spring only lasts so long out here. Glad I got to spend it shooting fields of color with a camera that sees everything at once.

Arrived to Luxor Temple a little late, so we leaned into it. ⏰ Turns out it’s one of the only temples in Egypt open after sunset, and shooting it at night was an entirely different experience. The amber light against 3,000 years of stone hits different when the crowds thin out and the sky goes dark. Egypt keeps revealing new layers the longer you stay. 🐪📸
