ever since i started drag, i’ve wanted to recreate the may queen dress. the climax of the film, presented as a win, is really where we see the total loss of dani to the hårga. growing up southern baptist, it was both cathartic to realize my sensitivities can be my strengths and also triggering to remember how i was manipulated to feel powerless and vulnerable. but now i have *actual* community that loves and supports me, my feelings, my endeavors, and my crazy ideas, and THATS a girlboss moment💅🏼

From Bay Ridge to Brighton Beach and all across Southern Brooklyn, we came together in a shared space of resilience, joy, and visibility. In a time when it’s easy to feel divided and depressed, it’s exactly moments like this remind us of what’s possible when we show up for each other.

Since its inception, Tawk Productions has been committed to building spaces rooted in art, accessibility, education, and radical inclusivity. Events like this are a reminder that just because something doesn’t exist yet doesn’t mean it shouldn’t. Together, we are shaping a Southern Brooklyn that is more joyful, more inclusive, more connected—and more alive for everyone, regardless of background, identity, or experience.

AND BABY, WE ARE JUST GETTING STARTED!
Because Pride is not only 365, but Pride starts in the heart and in our own backyard!

As the season of Drag Race is coming to an end, you have two more chances to gather this season:

📍 Friday, April 17 (Finale with the reunion of Coney Island Icons @shesuptonogood and @maxim_fab )

Join us for NYC’s only all-ages Drag Race watch party and the only weekly drag show in all of Southern Brooklyn—right here in Coney Island.
