Jurystatement:
'Der Name von Benjamin Nagys Installation, die aus zwei Skulpturen (2025) namens AM und PM besteht, ist The Weight of Smoke. Benjamin Nagys Skulpturen fangen die Dualität von Zeit und Existenz durch eine auffällige visuelle Darstellung ein, die zum Nachdenken anregt. Das Kunstwerk stellt unterschiedliche, aber miteinander verbundene geometrische Formen gegenüber, die die gegensätzlichen Erfahrungen und Emotionen symbolisieren, die mit der Bewegung des Lichts im Raum und mit der Realität der Formen von Schatten verbunden sind. Die Jury war beeindruckt von der erfrischenden Unprätentiosität des Werks, der visuell eindrucksvollen Platzierung der Skulpturen im Raum und der Subtilität und intellektuellen Tiefe, die die Installation über ihren Schöpfer verrät.'
