C’est le pari fou de @sensepilot, une startup qui développe une technologie permettant aux personnes en situation de handicap de contrôler un ordinateur uniquement grâce aux mouvements de leur tête et à leurs expressions faciales.
Grâce à l’IA, la technologie analyse l’orientation du visage et reconnaît différents gestes et expressions faciales afin de transformer ces mouvements en commandes personnalisées. Les utilisateurs peuvent même adapter les contrôles et la reconnaissance vocale selon leurs capacités, leur mobilité et leurs préférences.
Lauréat de l’Accessibility Innovation Prize 2025 de la Fondation Contentsquare, le projet a été imaginé pour un ami des fondateurs victime d’un accident de moto, qui ne pouvait plus jouer aux jeux vidéo. Il a ainsi pu retrouver une certaine autonomie et reprendre le contrôle de ses jeux…
Mais l’ambition de SensePilot va plus loin que le gaming et permet aussi d’effectuer d’autres tâches du quotidien comme la bureautique, la navigation sur internet ou encore l’utilisation d’outils créatifs comme Canva.
Une simple webcam et un micro suffisent : aucun équipement spécialisé supplémentaire n’est nécessaire. Une solution pensée pour être accessible, simple à installer et adaptable à une grande diversité d’utilisateurs.
Une innovation qui montre à quel point la technologie peut devenir un véritable outil d’autonomie, d’inclusion et de liberté.
