Since 2023, members of environmental clubs and teachers from nearby schools have visited the Ellen DeGeneres Campus every Friday to collect bird data alongside the Fossey Fund team. And, this work is vital: birds are incredibly important to the planet! Birds sustain the ecosystems where they live and spend time, nourish agriculture through pollination and they indicate the health of the environment and climate! 🐦🐦‍⬛🪽

Using digital tools, the students have been recording bird diversity and abundance, contributing to long-term biodiversity monitoring while building practical research skills in conservation science. The program also helps students strengthen classroom learning in subjects such as biology and geography! 🧬🌍⛰️

Since 2023, members of environmental clubs and teachers from nearby schools have visited the Ellen DeGeneres Campus every Friday to collect bird data alongside the Fossey Fund team. And, this work is vital: birds are incredibly important to the planet!
