Alhamdulillah to be part of @svgwrldwide : Artchive Summer 26. 10 years ago, I would’ve believed I would spend the rest of my life in the construction field. But Allah S.W.T had greater plans for me. I dedicate this project to my younger self.
Artchive Summer is a study of archived elements of culture (both tangible and intangible), architecture, and the environment. Years of study brought me to the idea that the setup itself could create a strong presence and experience. It is not only about how we directly design the pieces, but about how we present them within our cultural setting.
The details of Savage Island (as seen in the 3D visuals and stage setup) were carefully considered from the kinetic wave fabric acting as the sea, to the building facade constructed around architectural elements found in Kuala Lumpur. The moment I knew I had to contact @izzymusamusic was when we realized the final key to completing the experience was immersive sound.
