The trees are big, the wind is soft,
and the ball just rolls slowly across the ground.
No one calls it a start, no one calls it an end.
The goal is a little crooked. Time is too.
Nothing is really in place—and that’s fine.
It was never about winning anyway.
You stand there for a while, just watching,
and somehow it feels like the day could end just like this.

AmovingmoviE’s third release, LofiaromA, is now available on all platforms. Once again, everything from composition and recording to mixing and cover photography was done DIY. After exploring a more instrumental and atmospheric approach in the previous album, this release returns to the Jungle Pop melodies and Chinese lyrics of the debut album—like a boy coming home after summer camp, playing with a familiar cat in a familiar place.

Compared to matters of livelihood, I’d rather speak of parting sorrows and farewells: Parting sorrow is more a motion than a state. When ghosts murmur ”he has returned,“ it is not some nostalgic myth, but the inevitable destination we reach after being guided through countless mazes of solitude. Farewells, too, are never abrupt—they unfold through endless reiterations in our speech. All relationships severed by our farewells, whether with things or people, linger in life’s corners as scattered scents.

When I was in school, I loved spending time on the playground. If I got tired from running, I would just lie down, surrounded by green grass, white clouds, and the blue sky. Those happy and relaxed memories felt so real, like watching a movie.
However, I hated the time spent in the classroom. I could only stare out the window, feeling tense and tired from homework, exams, and rankings. Those memories also felt so realistic, like watching a movie.
Montage in movies is a great invention, allowing the essence of our thoughts to be extracted and memories to be chosen.
Once during the evening study session, I fell asleep at my desk, dreaming that I had moved into my own memory movie. Using montage, I eliminated all regrets and found my childhood self. Together, we ran on the playground in the movie, and when we got tired, we lay down side by side, surrounded by green grass, white clouds, and the blue sky.
After “One day’s journey in Wuhan”, with a hoarse voice, awkward English, repetitive chords, rough mixing, and tangled emotions, AmovingmoviE returned to his old bedroom and tinkered with ‘music’ and ‘movies’ that he himself didn‘t quite understand. As technology progressed and became advanced enough to relive childhood memories on the big screen, he simply moved into the movie.
