Some journeys begin without us fully knowing where they might lead. This is one of them.
For the first time, @samissone is part of the Algarve Design Meeting, a space where tradition, experimentation, and creative thinking come together. And somehow, it feels exactly where the brand was meant to be.
The piece I am presenting was born from the desire to look at material differently, to transform leftover fabrics from the atelier into something new, intentional, and alive.
More than a garment, this participation marks an important moment for the brand: a step towards artistic experimentation, towards the dialogue between heritage and contemporary design, and towards creating new narratives through material and memory.

Today I wore, for the first time, a jacket I created some years ago.
I sold it to dear mana Sara.

This workshop has been designed for those who wish to learn with precision and sensitivity, respecting the rhythm of the process and the integrity of each detail.

The chosen model is simple and elegant, designed without zips or buttons, allowing full focus on structure, fit and technical understanding.

By the end of the day, each participant leaves not only with a dress, but with knowledge, confidence and the experience of having created something with their own hands.

This workshop was made of first times, quiet concentration, shared laughter and the courage to try.
Teaching, for me, is about presence, respecting each person’s rhythm and creating a space where learning feels safe, calm and empowering.

Este workshop é uma experiência prática e intensiva, pensada para participantes iniciantes ou com conhecimentos básicos de costura.

Ao longo de um dia, cada participante poderá escolher uma peça para confecionar:
👖 Pantalonas ou 🧥 Quimono

A metodologia privilegia uma aprendizagem simples, clara e acessível, com acompanhamento passo a passo, permitindo que cada participante termine o workshop com uma peça finalizada e pronta a vestir.

♻️ A reutilização de tecidos é incentivada: os participantes podem trazer tecidos que tenham por casa — peças guardadas, tecidos oferecidos ou com valor sentimental. Em alternativa, o tecido poderá ser adquirido no próprio dia da formação.
