And around 4 since it premiered at London Short Film Festival.

It was quite an interesting time for sure…

Covid had just started shutting the world down & my dad was dying - felt like the end times really.

But the film has a real naivety and sense of fun. It’s got the freshness of some kids making their first film - which it very much was. It’s a film in praise of anyone that anchors us while the world spins around and we feel like we’ve lost our way.

Since you’ve read this far here is my favourite Easter Egg from the film. In the final scene we hear my dad’s voice describing the film as ‘light & fun while also being a little profound’ - it’s a decent review that I edited into the final scene so his voice plays on the radio while our protagonist talks to his own father.

Thanks to all that made this film happen - so many absolute heroes!

THE NOCTULE

In this unsettling short film, a bat obsessive listens to an echolocation device to track his favourite species - The Noctule. The haunting sounds of the bats lead him deep into an abandoned barn and finally onto a surprising discovery.

Incredibly pleased to announce my latest short film with the amazing Frank Bourke who plays our peculiar protagonist incredibly.

A tiny but brilliant crew who spent a weekend at my grandmas putting their all into this weird film.

My graduate film @thestop_film has finished principal photography yesterday. A bit of a delayed post but somehow we managed to power through Storm Dennis, torrential rain, 50+mph winds all in a field, with just a few cars for shelter and a hardworking tarp. But because of an even more hardworking crew and brilliant actors we got everything we wanted and more and I can't thank everyone enough for all their resilience and professionalism.
I'll post more soon but just wanted to say thank you and well done to everyone.
