-Monday: Head to Merchant Cycles to demo one of Salsa's newest gravel bikes. Starting at 2pm we'll have fun, contests, and pics with The Chaise. We roll out at 4pm for a casual spin to drum up appetite for a BBQ after.

-Wednesday: The Chaise will be joining it's GCHOF friends for a spin at 11am (Salsa demos are available), then heading to the Grenada for Salsa's welcome happy hour at 5pm. The Chaise can't wait to meet it's fellow GCHOF members!

The brief: build a dual sus mountain bike that’s capable of long days bikepacking on ultra gnarly terrain. The outcome: my dream @salsacycles Spearfish, which after 200km this week I can safely say is the most fun bike I have ever owned 🤩🤩

The ol aubergine machine climbs like a gravel bike and descends like a dream. Still baffled how a bike as comfy as this can feel so good to push uphill. Best of all, somehow you can fit two bottles on a small frame. That’s like the dually equivalent of finding a dress with good pockets.

With plans to take this bad girl over to Kyrgyzstan for Silk Road mountain race I’ve opted for a nice old fashioned mechanical SRAM Eagle 90/XX groupset; one less thing to charge and more repairable in the field. Sid ultimate fork gives me 120 travel to match the rear. Currently kitted out with an AXS dropper which I wasn’t planning on running for Silk Road, but it’s so damn nice I might just change my mind.

I can’t wait to push back to back 15 hour days in comfort.
