Finally given my showreel a refresh! Every frame is designed & animated by me 💜🌞🌞🌟

For the past three years, I’ve had a dream - I wanted to train a custom AI character and hang out with it in VR. I explored various ways to make this happen but nearly gave up on the idea due to my lack of proficiency in coding.

Last weekend, I stumbled upon an InWorld AI tutorial and it blew my mind. Not only can you create an NPC with your custom knowledge, but it also offers an integration SDK with Unreal Engine 5! I literally couldn’t believe how much simpler this is than the alternatives. So, yeah, now I have a custom AI clone of myself!

The pipeline was basically: Custom DAZ model -> Metahumans -> Unreal Engine 5.1 -> InWorld SDK with blueprints that provide a customizable brain to the character and syncs with the metahumans. I had to troubleshoot a few bugs, but so far, this is still the easiest non-code way to create digital VR humans.

I feel like this opens up so many possibilities in my creative journey. Custom AIs could revolutionize traditional notions of interactive storytelling and experiences! I’m so excited to continue experimenting with this technology and seeing where it can take me 😊😊💫✨

One year ago today, after the success of HORI7ONS, we decided to join forces and launch Chroma Link Collective—turning our passion for immersive digital experiences into something bigger.

Our goal has always been to create work that engages audiences, transforms spaces, and pushes the boundaries of storytelling through technology.

Since then, we’ve:

✨ Brought the world’s largest motion design festival to Vancouver (@demo.festival )
👻 Turned Vancouver into a gamified AR adventure in partnership with @downtownvan and @mygastown (Haunted Vancouver Unveiled)
🌊 Created an interactive installation for the Invictus Games in partnership with @hellobc (Stillness at Canada Place – 3,500+ participants!)

These are just a few highlights, and we’re only getting started. From large-scale exhibitions to interactive public art, we’ve loved every moment of building this collective.

Huge thanks to our collaborators, clients, and everyone who has supported us along the way. Here’s to another year of pushing creative boundaries and making magic happen! 🚀✨

Breathing parametric structure R&D

Excited to share a sneak peek of my 360 film “Generated” that I’ll be showcasing on March 7-10 at the Hori7ons Exhibition (tickets link in the bio).

Final piece will be featuring @lipelchat on the sound design (so stoked for this collab!😊).

Behind the scenes, @whosthereplease, @carmilla.etc and I poured our hearts and countless hours into organizing Hori7ons.

Having to produce artwork for a 360-degree projection space and also being the event organizers is not easy.

But thanks to our dream team, we're right on track!

“Generated” will transport us into an AI-created virtual reality, where AI avatars fulfill our need for connection, artificial nature feels more real than the outdoors, and personal data is collected at every turn.

What sacrifices are we willing to make for the illusion of intimacy and the promise of a customized utopia?
