Introducing GRAZIA’s first issue of 2026, ‘The Awakening’ - a meditation on renewal, momentum and the power of beginning again. Our inaugural issue of the year marks a return to fashion, to ideas, to conversations still unfolding, capturing that shift in energy when creativity stirs, perspectives sharpen and new voices step forward.
Front and centre on the cover is model and emerging actor @saffron. Shot in January 2026 with quiet intensity, Saffron embodies what happens when a woman stops searching for her reflection and becomes the image others look for instead.
A story not of sudden transformation, but of quiet reordering: from a leukaemia diagnosis at three years old, to navigating an industry that still tells her certain brands “don’t work with Indian girls,” to stepping into acting - her earliest ambition - with curiosity rather than urgency. Saffron reflects with GRAZIA on heritage and visibility, on the parents who held everything together while she was too young to know it, and on what it means to grow rather than prove.
“It feels less about proving anything now, and more about growing,” she tells GRAZIA.
The Awakening arrives in many forms. Saffron’s is spacious, hard-won, and entirely her own.
