Wearable Inspiration | LA 📍

I feel like I’ve never properly introduced myself here and now that there’s almost 100k of you here, Its about time.
Hi 👋 My name is Max. Ive been creating art under the name Sacred Imagination for five years, and have been making wearable art for the last three. The first two years I was posting digital art/animation/poetry/music to @sacredimaginationart, finding the intention and purpose behind what I was creating. But once I found my love for textiles, I took the leap of faith in pursuit of this dream full time.
I began with bleach dying, which quickly grew into cut and sew, embroidery, etc. What’s special here is my Mom used to be a fashion designer and my grandma, a seamstress. They were both shocked I became serious about my pursuit into the same industry. I’m honored to carry out the third generation in this craft and am beyond grateful for their support on this journey. It truly wouldn’t have been possible without them
For the past three years, I’ve been pushing my craft and exploring new channels of expression. I’ve also been outside, showing my art to the world, connecting with amazing people, and being apart of beautiful communities. The magic that transpires within those containers always leaves me inspired and supported. Every word of encouragement, every purchase, every connection will forever continue to remind me why I’m here, and for that I thank you endlessly.
The time has come to jump into the unknown again and curate my first ever experience. The idea has been a seed planted in my mind for a while now, and it’s finally time to sprout. November 22nd (11/22), in the heart of DTLA at @skyportalx from 3-11pm. Live musical performances, dj sets, a sound bath, my newest/best collection of wearable art to explore, and debut of my Scrap Manequinns, made from 3 years worth of scraps. All in a beautiful art gallery setting surrounded by the geometric genius of @greggfleishman. Will have live projection mapping, a void sound system, and kava gummies for us to enjoy. And it’s entirely FREE. Bring your friends. Come connect, shop, ground, dance, and explore 🌀Will post more details soon 👁️
Free RSVP, link in bio. Would love to see you there!

So much more to create, curate, experience, explore, express, evolve. In these wild times we live in, beyond blessed to loose myself in my art and craft. What a journey. Thank you for being here. @alexgreycosm / @allysongreycosm x @sacredimagination cardigans, made from their woven blankets have officially released! And it all started as a dream, literally. (read below)
Incredibly honored, blessed, and grateful to have been trusted to rework their blankets into these incredible pieces of cozy, wearable art. Available now for presale in extremely limited quantities. Each piece will have unique embroidery color and fringe work.
Here’s how an actual dream sprouted the collaboration of my dreams:
Four years ago, before I ever touched a sewing machine, I began pursuing art over at@sacredimaginationart, digitizing and coloring my friend @nvieratattoo incredible line art. I dove headfirst into the world of visionary art. Alex, Allyson, and what they were creating at @chapelofsacredmirrors quickly became a huge inspiration for me.
I spent my days working and my evenings digitizing, coloring, and building out the world of “Sacred Imagination.”
One night, I had a dream so vivid and impactful, it still affects me to this day. I truly believe it’s one of the reasons this collab has come into fruition.
It took place in a hotel, where every floor came with a new set of obstacles. The only way to ascend to the next floor was to overcome them. I kept going up and up, until I got to the penthouse of this hotel. It was a fine dining experience and who is sitting at the table with me? Alex and Allyson. They said “We see you… Keep going….” And then I woke up. It was wild to be “seen” by two of the world’s most prolific visionary artists, who have been creating art decades before my lifetime. At that point I had no business, but all the inspiration in the world.
And now 3 years later we are in official collaboration. Universe working it’s magic 👁️🫶🏼🙏🏼

Come find me @libfestival by thunder stage, across from junkyard, next to mixtape and the uniform palace!!
This is my fourth year at this magical gathering and first sharing my art. Come say hi, can’t wait to see and meet you all!
From two old quilts to cozy cropped jacket. A true piece of wearable art, honoring all the hand stitching that went into these quilts. A shame they were on their way to the landfill.
I ended up using a different fabric because the other quilt had too many stains on it. What do you think?
Summer is here and these tablecloth button downs are here to save the day. Light, 100% cotton, and beautiful patterns make for a great functional statement piece.
I’ve found this vintage tablecloth 3 different times over the years, each time with a different color way. I think this is my favorite.
What do you think?
From an old quilt to a cropped jacket that can be worn and cherished for lifetimes. Love the floral vibe of this one. What do you think?
Thrifted this dandy sunflower tablecloth and reimagined it as this oversized button down. This was a custom piece made for a special someone. What do you think? 🌱
From tablecloth to button down. These type of fabrics make for great shirts - 100% cotton and with gorgeous designs. What do you think?
These two upholstery fabrics matched perfectly and made for a really nice collared jacket. Fitted with 2 inside pockets. What do you think?
When the thrift store gives you a lemon tablecloth, you make a button down shirt. That’s how the saying goes, right? 🍋
What do you think?
This 100% wool fabric was the leftover from the end of a roll. Chopped up what was left and reimagined it as this collared jacket. What do you think?
