We recently had the absolute pleasure to open for @sylvanesso’s @madeofoak at @toulousetheatre on the last night of Jazz Fest and it couldn’t have been more fun for us and the whole packed house! Nick is a dreamboat and we’re extremely thankful for his generosity!

This was our last song of the night, a remix of the classic Meters’ song “They All Ask’d for You” that we made for this past Mardi Gras. It feels really special for us to weave Lil Wayne and The Meter’s together as an homage to the immense creativity and passion we are swimming in down here.If you wanna download it check out our Bandcamp at the link in our bio.

We’re both so grateful to all y’all for turning up and turning out over and over again for our little improvised experiments and we’re hoping to release a lot of new material this year to give you more surprises and lure you into our little hedonistic fever dream.

Everything about this year’s festival season has been magical and this memory is as much for us as anything else. We made a ton of new friends at this show and we’re so excited to continue to grow with y’all.

Got a note from my mom recently, who’s also my May 8th “twin”, about the need she’s feeling to try new things and experiment in her life AT 83 YEARS OLD, and I’m just so grateful to feel so supported as I do the same.

She was talking about making new recipes lol, but for me it’s been about a total reinvention of my methods and madness, teaming up with people I love to make new art, and going deeper with new and old friends than I ever have (and this Taurus / Scorpio / Scorpio only knows deep in the first place!).
