Far from the results I was aiming for, but still a decent day on the bike... I got some bad luck early & wasn’t able to make it back to the lead peloton. Determined to make the most of the day, I went into chasing mode & was able to go from around P90 to P40 at the line.
Riding the Traka by myself or in small groups made me actually appreciate the route — I feel like last year, being in the constant stress of the lead group, I couldn’t. Not that I would rather be out of contention to enjoy the parcours, but at least it made the 11h experience a little less painful.
Now time for a proper recovery week & then right into a small @unboundgravel block.
