Of course, no matter how good you are as a photographer, you can’t get a lot done if the model isn’t nailing every shot with incredible posing! Ella was amazing on the day and that’s really what allowed us to get so much done💪🏻 So even though she’s from up North, she’s still a great person 😁 Definitely work with her if you get the chance🙏🏻

Got to work with very contrasting colours with the red top-light and blue fill, as well as the more organic and cinematic lighting thanks to the @knowled_global LiteFlow reflectors.
Those reflectors are an interesting tool. I’m slow with them at the moment as I work through their benefits and features, but I can see how they offer a unique look with their exposure compression and ability to mix both hard and soft light from a single source. You guys should have seen that via the BTS in my stories the other day. Pretty interesting.

Honoured to share this image from a recent photoshoot in Vancouver, where we recently completed principal photography on the feature film, SHIVER, based on the brilliant YA book series by @maggie_stiefvater
This project has been an incredibly meaningful journey, one that explores themes and storytelling approaches close to my heart. Vancouver has provided not just a stunning visual setting, but also a deeply creative collaborative team that helped shape the tone and texture of this film. Enormously grateful to the extraordinary cast, crew and wolves who brought their talent, heart, and dedication to every moment of this production. I’m looking forward to sharing more soon!

One of the particular aspects of this shoot that I loved, was the ever-changing backdrop and pattern in the shots thanks to moving mylar and this was further enhanced by having a fan lightly blowing it.
Keeping creative with backgrounds in the studio is a never-ending task, but this was a nice little trick to keep things fresh. What did you think? You reckon you’ll give this setup a go?
