Caleb Eberhardt @rosehardt is our winner of this year’s #Best #Actor #Award for his performance as Jack in I’M SO SORRY BABY, a boyfriend trying to hold onto love as it changes shape. In the film, Mars, a Black and trans person, begins exploring their nonbinary identity inside a monogamous, “straight” relationship. When the relationship reaches a point of no return, Mars emerges transformed, seeing themself clearly for the first time. Caleb’s portrayal of Jack is at once tender, raw, and restrained - the quiet ache of someone trying to accept the person they love while confronting the fear of losing them.
For Caleb, the process was both deeply collaborative and personally resonant. “The film was an altar - what we all brought were offerings. And at times the parallels between the film and our lives were eerily similar…” he says. The film had even more personal repercussions as he was introduced to a new creative community through director Friday Anderson @fridayisfunky . “I found a #community I didn’t know I needed.” 
Eberhardt’s #career continues to bloom on #stage and #screen . He’s set to star in Gallas at Little Island in NYC for a month‑long run, bringing his layered, human #storytelling to the theater. His recent #TV work includes the series Demascus, which just started streaming on @tubi . As with I’M SO SORRY BABY, Caleb gravitates toward roles that challenge, surprise, and connect—the kind of work that, in his own words, “’Create puzzles that make acting fun.”
