🫶🫶 Why not try baking a Galette des Rois with @rogerpizey's recipe?

✨️✨️ Executive pastry chef for @fortnums, Roger Pizey writes: "In France, people celebrate Epiphany, or Twelfth Night, in early January by tucking into these tasty pastries. Translated as ‘Kings’ Cake’, Galette des Rois is similar to a Pithivier and is baked to celebrate the day the three kings (wise men) arrived to visit baby Jesus.

"In France these are traditionally baked with a porcelain bean hidden inside and whoever gets the slice with the bean is ‘king for the day’.

"French pâtisseries always sell this galette with a paper golden crown on top, so if you want to go authentic all the way then source yourself one online."

After having undergone treatment at the @royalfreelondonnhs, I have experienced firsthand the wonderful people and teams who have helped me and countless people. We had the opportunity to say thank you and along with my friends @chefmarkedwards and @rogerpizey, we hosted a fundraising dinner @theportraitrestaurant on top of the @nationalportraitgallery and managed to raise over £275,000 which went towards the funding of a new surgical robot.
I’ll be forever grateful to Ravi and the full team at the Royal Free Hospital @royalfreecharity. What a wonderful night.
