Robin Kwon (@robin.kwon) is a multi-disciplinary designer whose work spans architecture, art, biology, and material science. Based at the Bartlett School of Architecture within the Bio-Integrated Design Lab, Robin’s practice is driven by a material-led design process and a commitment to infusing biological and living sensibilities into everyday experiences.
He is the co-founder of Loci Studios (@locistudios), a design studio specializing in production and stage design for music events and installations.

Robin will be showcasing "Temporal Echoes," an immersive sound piece approaching themes of decay, microscopic life, generative processes and the Anthropocene.

Here I was 2 months ago, surrounded by penguins, seals, whales, glaciers, blue ice,... If I close my eyes and concentrate hard enough, I can still be there, touching the ice at the other end of the world. I can still picture the gracious dives of the whales. I can still laugh at penguins falling off an iceberg. I still feel this sense of smallness when you look up at gigantic cliffs. I can go back to the silence of this continent.

And I have found my word to describe it: Pure.

Peace and beauty are the only rulers of this glorious part of the world.
And this reign is being threatened by us. The direct consequences that we have observed come as a harsh reminder that again, the negative impacts affect the ones that deserve it the least.

Let us be united for a better future🤝
