I have photographed most of Hollywood over the years but I have to say this one was extra special. Having the opportunity to photograph and direct an iconic character like Grogu was a a career highlight.

@sydney_sweeney + @mingey + @brandonsklenar for the key art campaign photographed over 3 days in the pool house behind the home used for the film. We setup a mini studio and as the cast were available they would come down in the snow to the small pool house to shoot with me. We had 5 lighting scenarios setup on one background. This shoot felt different than most key art assignments I shoot because of the close quarters. We listened to some great music and had a blast making these images for the blockbuster hit. My photo team and the creatives from Lionsgate made this shoot a major success. Thanks to all!

David Archuleta’s new book Devout is a very personal story. Weeks before the shoot, David and I had a Zoom call to talk through the photographs I would be make with him. It was clear early on that the image needed to be simple and direct. It was also clear he wanted to meet me and see if I was the right fit for the project. We both knew within a few minutes it was a great match of personality and devotion to the art of simplicity. I have to thank manager extraordinaire @rebeccawarfieldla for connecting the two of us.

It’s rare to make something this restrained, where the smallest details carry the weight. Each image had something special but this one just caught our attention. It was the one.

I’m grateful David trusted me to capture such an important moment. Last slide you can see is after the shoot having a chat.

Now I look forward to reading the book.

Whenever I hear of a project that Jesse is a part of I know I’m in for a treat. We saw Bugonia in late December @drafthousela and recalled I had made some interesting images of him a while back that reminded me of the cinematography and set design from the film. Directed by the great Yorgos Lanthimos who is one of my favorite directors working today. See it on the big screen!

What an amazing performance A$AP gave on @nbcsnl of his song PUNK ROCKY. A true work of art start to finish. @dannyelfman on drums and @thundercatmusic on bass. Visually as cool as it was sonically. That is how it’s done folks.
