New episode with @rise_vtec and @bigmacvtakwhere we talk about the gridlife special stage at road Atlanta. Great conversation with both of them and I hope to do this for every stage.

Last weekend pushed both drivers and cars to the limit with a condensed event schedule shared between @gridlifeofficial and @formulad at Road Atlanta. A tight race schedule presents a unique challenge, leaving very little time between sessions to make repairs or adjustments to the cars. Despite battling axle failures and cracked rotors throughout the packed weekend, @rise_vtec continued to push his K-swapped EG Civic forward and kept the car competitive all the way to a P4 finish in ClubTR. At the same time, teammate @bigmacvtak returned for his first event of the time attack season and immediately found himself battling near the very front of the field in his K-swapped DC2 Integra. He ultimately finished the weekend tied for P2 with @petergranberg511 while resetting the FWD track record for ClubTR in the process!
We’re already looking forward to the next stop of the season as the team heads to Midwest Festival at Gingerman Raceway, June 12–14 🏁

Road Atlanta Recap!!
We finally got some laps in!! Our focus this event was making sure the car was free of the electrical gremlins that plagued us at CMP.
After making some necessary changes, we headed straight to the dyno to confirm the car didn’t have any issues and she was making power. @lavignemotorsports did his magic and extrapolated every single whp possible from Olga, while @tdt.travis ensured the harness and all electronics were working as advertised.
Day one, we managed to quickly find pace by clocking the 2nd fastest time of 135.3 behind @petergranberg511 35 flat. We started pushing the limit. With pushing, we inevitably unmasked the typical Honda FWD issues; torn passenger axle boot by the second session. We quickly patched the boot and went out for the second session of the day hoping the axle would not seize right away. Olga gave me another 3 laps, but it wasn’t enough to go faster. Axle seized up and replaced with a driver side with the inner cup swapped. Time to think about day 2.
On day 2, we quickly noticed a violent vibration coming from the passenger side (due to not-so-ideal axle length). I’d lie if I said that the constant vibration at speed didn’t take away some of my focus. No pickup on first session of day 2 and cracked passenger rotor. I recollected my thoughts, replaced the rotor and tried to focus on driving knowing that the crooked alignment and the axle vibration was just now a part of the equation. Managed to go a little faster but not fast enough for the top spot. 1:35.1 was our weekend’s best. After heat 5, we discovered that the driver side axle boot had torn and the rotor had cracked. Not enough time between heats to change them up so we decided to call it. We finished 4th despite of it all.
Bottom line: if you drive a FWD Honda to the limit, be sure to have many many spares.
Big shoutout to @k.hunter_86 for the win and @bigmacvtak and Petey for 2nd place tie and the crazy battle.
A huge thank you to my sponsors and partners:

Alright, let’s hope this weekend is going to be one free of issues for us!
Excited to be back at Road Atlanta with @gridlifeofficial
Last year we only got 2 sessions worth of track time between some throttle body problems and lots of traffic, and Saturday being a rainy day. Despite that, we still managed to come home with a 2nd place trophy. This year we just hope to maximize our track time and just turn laps. Not setting any goals or expectations, I just want to drive. If the driving happens to be somewhat decent and conditions will allow it, we hope to end up going back home with some hardware.Fingers crossed!!🤞
A big thank you to everyone that still allows us to make this dream a reality:

CMP kept us on our toes earlier this month. Despite technical issues and limited seat time, Mario pushed through and laid down a lap strong enough for P2 before the car called it quits ahead of the podium sprint. He locked in P5 in class overall, bringing home solid points toward the ClubTR championship.
We also saw great pace from ACUiTY-equipped cars across Street and ClubTR classes, with some seriously competitive lap times throughout the weekend. It was great to see our team catch up and wrench alongside fellow competitors behind the scenes, as the camaraderie between drivers is what we missed during the offseason and what makes these events worth coming back to each year. We’re looking forward to the next one at Road Atlanta next month 🏁!

New podcast with @bigmacvtak and @rise_vtecwerewe do a recap of gridlife's round1 at CMP

CMP Recap!
The 2026 @gridlifeofficial season opener didn’t go as we planned. The weekend was plagued by one issue after another, mostly due to the lack and of real testing after making such drastic upgrades to the car. We ultimately narrowed it down to trigger and voltage issues. I can’t thank enough @lavignemotorsports and @tdt.travis for their unrelenting perseverance in troubleshooting Olga all weekend long. @rapp_fab for the assistance in welding a radiator duct between sessions in the scorching heat of South Carolina. @amwrobel for letting me borrow his spare alternator that allowed me to do one good lap with the car before shutting off on me on track.
Historically, Olga and I are very quick at this track and we only needed one good enough lap to make it stick and secure a spot in the top 5 for the sprint. On Sunday morning, during the last heat before the sprint the car managed to stay on for 2 laps. That meant i quickly had to weave through Group C traffic and put a banker lap together. Even after driving at about 8-9/10ths through traffic, we managed to set the second fastest ClubTR time of the weekend and secured the #2 seed for the sprint. Unfortunately, the car didn’t want to stay on for the after sprint, so we decided to call it. It was such a frustrating weekend filled with sleep deprivation but also a desire to do anything possible to make it work. Quitting has never been an option in our camp.
Thanks to @kevin_vue_racing and his family for checking in on me all weekend long and for feeding me some delicious Pho! They are truly some special people!
Thanks to my title sponsor @acuityinstruments for believing in the program and supporting us one more year. Despite some challenges, we will come up on top.
Thanks to Tevin, Ray, and Zack from @fortuneautousa for the track support and content, thanks to @saikospeed for being my #1 parts plug. Big shout out goes to @gprauto @asrparts @konigwheelsusa @honed_developments @unit2fab for their support.
Thanks to @alexswankmedia for the on and off track shots and videos! Glad you were able to capture my 2 laps! 😅
We’re now back in the lab to make sure Olga is issue-free for Atlanta! Stay tuned! 😎

Stay tuned! 😎

@rise_vtec returns to CMP this weekend to kick off another Time Attack season in ClubTR. Mario set a new class lap record here last season in his K-swapped EG Civic and is aiming to beat it again, this time with a podium finish in mind. We’re cheering him on and wishing all ACUiTY-equipped drivers an awesome start to the @gridlifeofficial 2026 season 🏁!
