🔥Unresolved: A Playable Archive of Rage and Reckoning @pearlrivermart through Jan 31
Watch artist @risapuno’s interview discussing “Common Picnic: Halo-Halo Edition,” an interactive outdoor installation that reflects the experience of living in a crowded city and celebrates the mix of different cultures just like New York City. 🌈 The installation is on view through September 1, 2025.
UP NEXT | “Risa Puno: Group Hug”
This interactive installation explores the complex social relationships inherent in receiving and providing care. In Group Hug, Puno uses the language of games to weave together themes of caregiving, cultural identity, and familial dynamics. The result of a two-year residency and created in collaboration with our Studio, the exhibition invites you to engage in gameplay with unexpected incentives and outcomes.
RSVP for the Leap Day opening: Thursday, February 29, 6–8 pm (link in bio).

I created these questions over a year ago, in the hope of starting conversations about rage. ❤️🔥 They’re designed to help people discuss the ways identity, power, and safety shape when we feel allowed to be angry… and how (or if) we act on those feelings.
And thanks to @pearlrivermart, I finally had the opportunity to create a space for people to record their answers and connect them to others’ responses in a public archive.
As someone who has had trouble accessing and expressing my rage throughout my life, it has been both validating and inspiring to read other people’s thoughts and stories on the walls, and to chat with people who stop by the show.
This is the last week of the exhibition if you want to come by and read what people have shared, and maybe even add a response of your own!
🗽🎊 NYC - FREE and open to the public at Pearl River Mart (452 Broadway) through Jan 31.

Our newest art exhibition is now open! 🙌 UNRESOLVED: A Playable Archive of Rage and Reckoning by @risapuno explores rage, what we’ve been taught about it, and how we might metabolize that rage in community with others.
During the opening reception, everyone was invited to spin THE WHEEL OF RECKONING AND RAGE, answer a question (“Is it easier to stand up for yourself or others? Why?”), and add the question to the wall with others’. In addition to feeling like you’re on the Price of Right, spinning the wheel offers the opportunity to think about questions you might never have asked yourself and perhaps learn something new.
UNRESOLVED is on view in our Soho gallery through Jan. 31, 2026. Free and open to the public every day between 11 AM and 7 PM ✨ Keep your eye out to join playtesting of the UNRESOLVED RAGE GAME, a collective storytelling experience inspired by tabletop role-playing games, like Dungeons & Dragons. But instead of battling medieval monsters, players navigate challenges inspired by real-life instances of racist or sexist microaggressions.
Thanks to everyone who came out to celebrate the opening of this unique exhibition. And much appreciation to generous sponsor @binondo_by_kabisera for keeping us fed with delicious dumplings and pancit! 😋
Learn more about the exhibition and artist at the link in our bio.

Feeling rage-y lately? 😁 You can let it out (or not) at our new exhibition, UNRESOLVED: A Playable Archive of Rage and Reckoning, from interactive artist @risapuno.
Risa uses gaming to explore rage and how it’s processed, validated, and even ignored. Participants are invited to spin THE WHEEL OF RECKONING AND RAGE and answer revealing questions about rage. The UNRESOLVED RAGE GAME is inspired by tabletop role-playing games such as Dungeons & Dragons. But instead of battling medieval monsters, players navigate challenges inspired by real-life instances of racist or sexist microaggressions.
UNRESOLVED opens in our Soho gallery Thursday, Nov. 13. Join us for the opening reception that night from 6 to 8 PM. Free to attend but registration is appreciated (link I’m bio).

This last trip around the sun has been a rollercoaster… a lot of high highs and low lows. 🙂🙃 And I won’t lie, I’m already bracing myself a little for what year 44 might bring. 😬 However, I am infinitely grateful for the family, friends, collaborators, supporters, and practitioners who keep me in orbit. I don’t know what I would do without your love, joy, wisdom, encouragement, and care. Thank you for sharing space with me, playing games with me, letting me asking allllll the questions, putting me back together when I feel broken, and for helping me feel connected to something far greater than myself. 🥰💞💫
(Special thank you to @rossleff, @simplyalissalinda, and Nora for planning the perfect low key birthday dinner when I was too tired/busy/stressed to figure out if I even wanted to celebrate this year. 🫣😅 One of these days, we’ll remember to take a group photo! 😩)

🎲 Welcoming Risa Puno to Worlds in Play 2025 to playtest UNRESOLVED RAGE GAME! 👾 @risapuno
This interactive session is the first playtest of a character co-creation process for Unresolved Rage Game—a collaborative storytelling experience about rage, inspired by TTRPGs.
While the full game is being developed specifically for Asian women and femmes, this workshop is open to people of all identities who would like to explore rage in community with others. Together, we’ll use mechanics from the game to examine how rage shows up in our own lives. As we shape the emotional frameworks of our characters, we’ll identify what we want to explore, shed, or reclaim in our own lives through play.

😈 Welcoming Risa Puno & Sammy Stone to Worlds in Play 2025 to playtest CRINGE CLINIC tomorrow! @risapuno @sammygarammy 🥵
Are you a creator whose participants would rather squirm in silence than take a risk out loud? Sounds like it’s time for you to check into the Cringe Clinic! Designed for artists, facilitators, and immersive creators, this session invites you to bring your own projects, characters, or activation ideas, and together we’ll explore ways to support participants who hesitate to take action or be seen. In this hands-on workshop, we’ll share our toolbox of guided awkwardness and playful tactics for flipping the script on shame. The things we find cringe reveal a lot about us—our fears, our desires, our masks, and our wounds. Cringe isn’t just discomfort—it’s diagnostic data. So bring your baggage. Leave your dignity. Let’s get weird… and make spaces where others can, too.
This session invites playful engagement with social discomfort, embarrassment, and personal cringe. Participation may include standing, light movement, or being witnessed by others—but you’ll never be forced to share or perform. Come as you are, take what you need, and get awkward at your own pace.

“Common Picnic: Halo-Halo Edition” by artist @risapuno is inspired by the layered Filipino dessert and embodies the Philippine concept of ‘kapwa’. 🌈 See it at Portside through 9/1.
