Our new single “Closer” is out now. This song was first crafted in our studio back in 2021 -2023, maybe? With a lot of reconstructing and rewriting before it was brought into Riff’s magical world in 2024 for some more reconstructing and rewriting!

It’s been a long time coming, but as all we do with this band and the people we work with, it’s done with lots of intention and love (and burritos). We hope you’re enjoying the song.❤️

Getting to watch @thecasualties_official - a band that helped shape me and that I’ve seen play for the better part of 20 years - perform songs that I produced and mixed is something I don’t take lightly.

There’s always something special about hearing songs live. They take on a different kind of life. The energy, the intensity, the way the band connects with the crowd - it all hits differently, and last night was no exception. I’m proud of this record, and I truly hope it’s resonating out there.

To make it even better, my brothers in @totaleffingmassacre opened the night and absolutely brought it. They’ve become one of my favorite local bands in LA, and it’s inspiring to see them continue to grow.

What stood out most was the sense of community — the unity in that room was real, and it’s a reminder of why we all do this.

Looking forward to the next one in LA.

Last night we got to present the game ball, hang with the OCSC crew, and hear our song blasting in the stadium… we are beyond grateful to all involved! Thank you 🧡

It’s funny, we just did a thing for a magazine listing the top 5 ska/punk bands.I literally started with Operation Ivy and said I could just end it there… when those dudes came up and released #Energy that was a oh shit moment… short lived, but so important and influential… then of course out of OpIvy @timtimebomb and @mattfreeman went and had another (find it if you can) short lived band #downfall and a short pit stop of @dancehallcrashersofficial then @rancid…@jesse9michaels took a break and the rumor mill went crazy (pre internet) about his whereabouts. He came back to do couple (great) short lived projects #bigrig and @commonrider_official … but fast forward and 2025 announced a new project of Tim, Jesse and Trash talk’s @spencer_pollard and @theejoeyc called @doomregulator .. we hit up Jesse with another 🤞🏽 ask for them to consider doing #simonsaysthekingpin for #coveryourface and cover it they did… pure punk rock… hoping to hear some new music soon 🤞🏽 … we are so grateful for this one… you will love it.
